Hell yes hahahahaha. THAT'S a recruiting pitch.
-
Is it common to bring back and recognize individuals on a 10-22 team?
-
I'm not disagreeing with the logic in your first few sentences... But this isn't a thing where "hindsight is 20/20," everyone I was with IMMEDIATELY was like "WTF ARE YOU DOING?" As he was kicking it.

Team has gone to the goats... literally!

That was AWESOME, ha. Brought a smile to my face. Well done fellas. Btw, If anyone is looking to get right, I know it's super cheesy - but p90x yoga is really incredible. -
Fred: "Phew..." Thanks Scott.

We live in sports purgatory.

I’ve said it on here before - it’s a term/style invented by AAU programs to make mom and dad happy.
-
Yeah it's a position-less system, where the same guys run the same lanes and do the same things with the play started by the same guy. (I hate the term position-less basketball)

Well, uhm... That really blows. I was excited to see what this kid could do. Feel bad for the young man - hope he is able to rehab and get back quick. Everyone glad I personally lobbied to ensure Cale Jacobsen ended up a husker? You're welcome.

2018 F Ed Chang (Papillion-LaVista)
basketballjones replied to AuroranHusker's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
The first time I watched Ed as a Sophomore I literally thought he had potential to be a 5-start type of player. I thought he was KD-esque. I met him a couple times, thought he seemed like a good kid? Wonder what has happened in this young man's life for him to bounce around like this and never establish himself. Clearly something going on there. -
Glad we could help the young man out.

I'll run through EST Gee's Wikipedia real quick to before I decide whether or not I morally approve.
-
Can’t wait for him to hang a vengeful 25 on us against K State.
-
I have zero hobbies or interests that aren't worth more doing than $5m is. I'll find new ones.

Won't acknowledge anything you said until the cable installer has been notified.

This team has a massive, gaping hole in it that he clearly fills (assuming he is healthy, in shape, rust is shaken off). This team goes from a defensively built, long, strong, and experienced team that won't be able to score... to all of those things plus a real "dude," who can absolutely score on his own. He went from 14ppg, to 16ppg before he was injured, you have to assume he was on a trajectory to get near 18-20 the next. Which completely changes the outlook for our season imo.

2023 F Almar Atlason -> Bradley

Pump those brakes hard!!!! Force the ABS system to kick in. -
You can do that - but you better hope another team doesn't have a scholarship and NIL money. It's a cutthroat business. You "ask" someone to move on.
-
This would be a huge addition and I would assume someone would move on. And I think it's pretty obvious who.

2023 F Almar Atlason -> Bradley
basketballjones replied to hhcmatt's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I've watched all of this guy's highlights and I just wanted to say I'm in love and please come. -
How much of that is Gates and how much of that is the role they put MA into as far as team building?

Dude basically looks like a Georges. Niang clone. Like exact same shooting form. -
You can't spell "irrational-optimistic-fanatic" without fan.

Like this hire. Not the guy I thought (or was told) it was going to be. But this guy seems like a no nonsense, but relationship driven coach. Lots of experience, knows how to recruit. Coach Hoiberg has a ton of strengths... being the enforcer/accountability/energy guy is not one of them. This guy seems like he has the goods to do this.

That’s definitely not who I had heard but hey I’m glad to be wrong, he’s got a great track record.
