  1. Well but it was never, "either or." Didn't we get Williams before HS, and HS visited even after we already had him?
  2. I appreciate your input and experience, but I respectfully disagree. Not that he's a great kid and coachable, just what his strengths and weaknesses are as far as basketball.
  3. I feel like every time these two teams play no one really wants to win. Hence why I am going to submit a tie and live with the results. NU - 77 NW - 77
  4. I don't think Hunter Sallis fits this Husker team at all, and that's not a knock on Sallis. He'd have the same issues here at NU that he was having at Gonzaga. We play a pretty strict system defensively (not his strength) and we play a pretty heavy read and react, principled motion on offense (also not his strength). Hunter belongs in more of an open system where he can use his instincts and play free.
  5. You're splitting hairs. I am just talking about a go-to, versatile, athletic, long wing who can go be a dude when you need it.
  6. A line-up of: BWill, KT, CJ, Mast, and JG should have open driving lanes for JG and BWill all over the place. Those two should live at the FT line. We'd have to get those calls, of course, but in theory anyways.
  7. I have heard people say that what this team is missing is a James Palmer or Terran Petteway... Which I kind of agree with - but the thing is - it's literally on the roster. That could easily be Brice Williams. He's got the length, athleticism, 3-Level scoring ability, etc... This staff needs to figure out Brice Williams. He is not lazy, he is not uninspired or unemotional, as people have said - the dude clearly cares and is giving it his all. It seems to me to be more of a confidence issue. They've gotta figure out a way to get him confident and recognize that he could be a dude. This guy has the tools to score ~18-20 a game or so. If they can figure out a way to unlock Brice from ear to ear, that will unlock this season in my opinion.
  8. That’s a win in my book don’t care what score says. Got screwed.
  9. Are we 100% sure Marcus Glock is not a D1 guy? 6’4”, decent athlete, lefty, has gotten a lot stronger. But most importantly, just a pure sniper. Has some limitations athletically as a D1 guy for sure… but…. Idk man… @Jacob Padilla
  10. I don’t know man. I just don’t know. I’m shaking and at a loss for words. Unbelievable effort and resolve. To me, this is one of the greatest wins in Nebrasketball history.
  11. I fucking hate this defense so much. If a guy is going off - there is ZERO adjustment to be made. They’re still gonna over help, over rotate, double the post, etc… just so stupid. JUST GUARD NORMAL. Stop the junk crap. #11 is going off - he should be no help.
  12. I don’t know if I have ever seen a team with more variance in their performances than this team. It’s remarkable. Obviously there’s the home and away element but that doesn’t entirely answer everything. What it screams is a lack of general athleticism and/or lack of size/length. Those things make up for energy/effort/crowd. I wouldn’t stray too far away from what we’re doing X’s and O’s, talent eval wise, but we certainly have to get a little better athlete at certain positions.
  13. Was easily the most frustrating part of the game. We played right into their hands. Broke it, then stopped everything to try to run our offense. We should have been in break and attack mode the entire time. They would have been out of it after 3 possessions if we did.
  14. Soft team, physically and mentally, unless literally everything is going well for them and the crowd is for them.
