Good season. Went down fighting which was consistent with the effort and heart shown all year. Team improved throughout the year, and several individuals improved as well. The type of team one finds it easy to support. They got everything out of what they had.

People were all over Dave Hoppen for that also. Can always find a flaw, but Jorge brought a lot to the table. I'm going with Dean on this one.

I know I read that Kate has already earned a Masters in Business Administration. I believe it was from Abby Barmore so I presume it was accurate.

Get used to it. Bolt is a Van Horn guy. Personally I like it. We didn’t move runners with Erstad and I thought it hurt us. Letting a guy swing away and then strike out is worse than bunting.

Good problem to have

Actually, I don't think it would be nice to have an offseason with no attrition. We have to have an immediate, substantial talent upgrade to be competitive in this league. We just finished 14th twice in a row. Some of these guys aren't going to suddenly become good, or dramatically improve their game. You're not going to win in the Big with guys like Lakes, Stevenson, Yvan, Wood, just to name some obvious ones. While Bryce may hit the ground running (not a given in this league; 4 and 5 stars struggle in the bigtime conferences every year as true freshmen), the others will take longer, if at all. So go get some dudes. Eventually, it would be nice to lessen the transfer mercenaries, but right now its absolutely necessary. (And would love to get Ty Ty, partially just to see the heads of the Jayskers explode).

Sam is saying season has ended, but Coatney and Williams on the postgame show said we would be playing in the WNIT. P.S. Really, really great effort today by the Huskers.
