  1. 10 years ago we had not sit Sunday and my then 7 year old son got to see Mike Peltz propose and Petteway pulling up for that 3 - the sound of PBA - so memorable. Tonight was similar, at least the final 15 minutes of the game. Fred said it was the best atmosphere he’s seen at PBA in his five years, I’d agree. So many great little plays that added up. Jo and Sam bring heart. Energy. Attitude. Effort. Love it. KT will be back. Two or theee of his threes were halfway down…
  2. Lost my voice at PBA. tcp - hang in there! cip - you called it from the tip and never wavered even when we were down 19. Major props! CJ - On Fire
  3. Appreciate your positive outlook. But it’s not looking good
  4. Nobody does and no one in the media will ask Fred either
  5. Back to back passes that would’ve made Jeff Sims blush
  6. It’s between the ears with Brice. Has to be. He looks like he just woke up from a nap. Serious.
  7. So glad this guy is a part of the basketball program. Look forward to seeing him at future alumni days - I’ll tell my grandkids all about him
  8. Wonder if Trev asked for that Blackshirt back???
  9. Read the entire thread during my lunch break. What a trip down memory lane. couple of interesting things - some of the prominent posters in 2014 don’t post anymore Someone quote tweeted Brian Rosenthal (people had no idea at the time) I remember when a certain AD buckled and instructed the spirit squad to no longer lead the chant. So, Jean’s letter did have an impact. The tradition is now back but I believe it’s not kind of just lackluster- probably because the arena isn’t as full during tipoffs and especially the 6pm start games….
  10. Anyone have a link to Coach Hoiberg’s postgame presser? Wasn’t on Huskers.com
  11. I’m hoping that at the end of this season, that forward Julian Reese enters the transfer portal straight to Lincoln. Athletic, skilled, explosive, active rebounder, man would he and Mast compliment each other next year. If I only had a million dollars to spare….
  12. That was embarrassing. I hope the players have enough pride that they are embarrassed. We got punked and seemed ok with it. Too soft mentally. Need an alpha dog, and no, not just Gary.
  13. Committee is gonna look at our average point spread on road games as like 16, that’s not helping us at all.
  14. Whatever we are doing for road games prep, everything needs to be examined. From the routine to the schedule of travel to what they do - it’s clearly not working .
  15. Honestly, a lot of our guys don’t look very interested in being out there right now. It’s embarrassing frankly.
  16. Norm, how you described Reink Mast is almost to a T how my diehard Iowa fan/buddy described Uhlis when it was announced he was going to transfer. He said “elite at nothing, solid at just about everything, definitely won’t carry the team but definitely won’t hurt you either.” I’m joking we find out!!
  17. Keisei actually was the one that assisted Reink on the first two 3’s, which led to the step back one in the first half. Watching the replay, the scout was to stop #30 and they left #51 open. Bit them in the buckeye.
  18. The Ohio state message board was pretty down on Bonner, said his 3 missed free throws got our crowd into it and that the student section lived rent free in his head
  19. Lots of “fire Holtmann” and “‘must be nice to have a team play with effort like Nebraska” a couple of “they are a well coached team” comments when Tominaga passed to Mast two times in a row and he hit the top of the key threes one comment was “ok, that’s not fair”
  20. Fellas, at 15-5, we now are off to our best start since the 1990-1991 season. And what a season that was- 26 wins and a #3 seed in the big dance.
  21. Some of the earlier adjustments on the court and mixing of personalities played out in the early games in front of our eyes. I will say, the one have largely disappeared and the on court chemistry is much improved and better. I browsed the Ohio state board because I was curious. The post that got me was “my goodness, we’re playing an international team…” and it was meant in a complimentary way. I guess I never thought of us like that, but yep, international teams prove to be tough to beat unless USA basketball brings out their top level players.
  22. Keisei didn’t have a great game but he played the first part of the second half and simply didn’t need to go back in the way Mast and Wilcher were shooting. Offense always looks better when we are making shots. I’m old enough to remember guys on this board (me included) loathing Mast taking so many threes against Iowa and some even commenting “there’s a reason you’re open” Bottom Line. That was Full Mast today. That was Purdue Mast. It was a thing of beauty. It was eye opening to see him hit the step back. He was hot and his confidence in scoring inside was also at an all time high. I loved seeing it. Im as big of a Keisei fan as there is, but tonight he seemed to be forcing some things and I’ll admit, he put up some forced shots. This give opposing coaches some more things to think about when they scout us. We aren’t just all KT. We can score with a variety of players. A nice win that was fun to be at - crowd wasn’t huge but we were loud at times
