Would like us to go after players that will push our starters for their spot. Much like Cook does in VB. With Williams ACL and Logan's surgery I think we need to pickup a 3 point shooting guard if one is available.

UCONN might not be able to slow down Clark but keeping her teammates from having great nights could be more important. Keeping Martin, Marshall, and Affolter in check will go a long ways in defeating Iowa.

As we discuss minutes of our players thought I would post a little hi-lite of the teams from last night. UCONN 7 players played 3 starters played all game USC 8 players played 5 starters all had 30+ minutes LSU 7 players played 5 starters all had 30+ minutes Iowa 9 players played 4 starters had 30+ minutes Taylor McCabe played less than 1 minute

So she was going to play softball as well correct? BB would be out but maybe softball?

Kellie Harper had a .675 win pct. and a .689 conference win pct. and still not good enough in 5 years at TN. Amy Williams has a .552 win pct. and a .489 conference win pct. in 8 years at NE. But I will give props to Amy for moving in the right direction. I said a few years ago Amy needed to bring in some new assistants. They have helped her and the program move in the right direction. It might be slower than I would like but it at least is trending upward.

OSU will be a part of the WCC the next two years.

Hope Kennadi gives herself time to heal completely. I think I remember she had some injury right before the GBB State tourney. Also did she not have a knee injury a year or two? While three sports in HS is not a problem but also assume she does some club stuff as well. that is a pretty busy schedule.

If we could have hit for even the upper 30's on our FG think the outcome would have been different. Agreed their length made it difficult. They recruit length to keep up with Stanford which always has a lot of height. With all the changes in conferences will be interesting to see how teams change. But due think WBB will continue to move to taller players. Still will be room for the 5'3" or 5' 5" player but they will need to bring something special to the table.

Hard to tell when the ref was walking right by her when she spoke. She may had also just mouthed it. She had a rough night and we know the refs can make some bonehead calls and she would had not been the first player to utter those words at a B1G ref. Agree it needs to change or it will continue to get worse.

I would not be surprised to see Weidner come off the bench to start the season.

This is why they need to clean up all this physical play we are seeing. Part of why more girls are going away from BB and playing volleyball. Plus as has been point out...the refs are garbage.

There was a lot of talking to the refs last night in this game by the players. Must be the Caitlin Clark effect. And, yes Brink did tell the ref off. I think he is a B1G ref.

Fun game to watch tonight. ISU and Stanford.

It’s about butts in seats and neutral sites for the first two rounds would be pretty poor.

Felt like we took ourselves out of offensive rhythm. That will come back to bite us sooner or later.

Amy’s first NCAA win. Hopefully the second is in Sunday.

If any of this Scoggin mess does come back on Amy I would think the university has in place on her contract a clause for such a event.

Was hoping for a 7 seed. Even happier for the 6 seed.

The lack of leadership is one thing. But we know there is always more to the story that we do not see.

One of two things, either Potts wants to be closer to home or someone has reached out to her parents or a club coach and is telling her a higher profile program is interested. Will be something to watch. Agree hate to loose her.
