Have the dvr set for the Indiana and Iowa game today. Same time as our game. It have been confirmed that Holmes is coming back for her Covid year. -
My post from the old thread was what Matt said pregame.

So how is it that our two best wins are both...on...the...road?
-
Stewart does have a nice mid range shot. She makes most of them. We just don’t play to her strengths. Also think Coley could have a nice mid range shot.
-
When you shoot as well as we did tonight, plus don’t make silly errors good things happen.
-
So where has this team been? Great win. Did not see this coming.

I think one thing to remember is some players continue to develop and reach the best version of themselves in there 20's. That could be after college. Then some players may have reached there best physical level when they are 19 or 20. This is one reason why having good coaches is so important. Good coaching can help them to see the game better (the game slows down for them) so even when the physical level may have peaked, their IQ helps them to continue to play better.

All good points in the comparison between the two. I think coaching played a big part in it.

I watched the game. I guess the language does not bother me too much. I would think she was not the only one to say that during the game last night. She just was caught on camera. I know there are those here that would prefer to not hear young women talk so salty but I just think it is the time we are in. Who would have thought Cravens would have gone off like she did this year? You can raise your daughter to not be so salty but she can pick it up being around her friends who think nothing about saying bitch, or worse. As I said, just the times we are in.

This is Bluder's 23rd year at Iowa. Her teams have had continued success so she can recruit top players and they will listen and some commit.

I do think it will take a push from Trev for Amy to make some hard changes. After seeing Bourne blow off Mays would think she could be on the list? Plus regarding transfers, you need to look at trying to bring in players who can challenge for a starting spot. If a transfer thinks it will only be in a supporting role then I could see them look elsewhere. Bringing in players who could start will push your returning players to get better if they feel they could be coming off the bench.

Good for Britt to see a full house. The Fan support is there.
-
Britt is a 24 recruit?

Just said senior day, nothing about their plans. We know Sam is done, Brady with her health problems should be done. For Jaz and Issie my guess is that they are not coming back. Seems like Sam, Jaz, and Issie are pretty tight knit group. Maybe the want to leave together?
-
So senior day is Haiby, Shelley, Bourne, and Brady as per Matt’s pregame.
-
Czinano has good coaching.

I will not be there today. I live on a farm and with snow and almost no wind today will be a great to burn my brush pile. Will dvr it on the BTN today, and listen to Matt and Jeff.

We have 3 games left. I think 1-2 is a realistic outcome. If we go 0-3 then we need a complete change as much as it will hurt the program on a whole to start over. 1-2 and Williams need to take a hard look at not only herself, but her assistants and as loyal as she is to her staff, that could be hard for her. 2-1 or 3-0 I just do not see happening. Even if it did still think Williams still needs to take a hard look at the program as a whole. If we strike the first year we are 53-51 in the B1G currently. We can and should be better than that.

So I like to watch interactions within our team, our opponent and with the officials beside watching the action on the court. So I thought it was interesting during the first time out of the Northwestern game the girls was coming back to the bench, Bourne had a nice start to the game, here was coach Mays coming out on the court to talk with Bourne and Issie was not having any of it as she was going right to the bench and there was Mays following her. We all have seen Amy go off during the game on calls, pushing it as far as she can without a "T". Wonder if at some point those same officials just tune her out, or make/not make calls based on her interaction with them.

Just a little about Allison Weidner. Before her injury she was the most athletic player we had. Certainly on par with other players in the conference. Noticed a few tell her good luck with her recovery. KBA reached out to her during warm ups, and Shyanne Sellers post game here in Lincoln stopped by the center huddle to say something to her. That was of course after the game she had in Maryland. She has the respect from other teams that she deserves. Hope to have her back as close to 100% for next year.

I came to this board after Connie was asked to go. Have to wonder does she even want to get back into a coaching role? How old is her son? Is he playing somewhere?
-
Having a year like this makes recruiting hard, even in your own backyard. Also those here may look at their options. So what does Trev do?
-
What is hard to watch for me is both AM and MM work so hard to get good position on the blocks, and we do not attempt to get them the ball. When your bigs work hard like that you need to reward them and we just don’t seem willing to do that. Passing, defense. It’s like a broken record stuck in one spot. As close as I am, also not sure I want to watch the Iowa game in person.

Hake played 8 minutes and no shots.
