I agree with this. It's great that he's a Nebraska kid; I absolutely want to see him succeed. I just don't see that happening at Nebraska at this point in time.

James Palmer, Jr. And Isaac Copeland are both playing the G-League...

We need players who can make shots. You can have all the athleticism in the world, but if you can't make baskets, you're not gonna play on a B1G team. Arop didnt play much on one of the worst B1G teams of all time. I don't think that's an accident. To think he will drastically improve or redshirt anytime soon seems pretty unlikely to me. Arop can be our 12th guy - I'd be fine with that - but if you think he will be a contributor anytime soon, you should also expect more seasons of playing on Wednesday at the B1G Tournament. I'm sick of that. We need better players. We need players better than Akol Arop.

Yes, the free throws were bad. But why is no one discussing the botched two-for-one situation at the end of regulation? We had the ball with 48 seconds left in a tie game coming out of a timeout. Instead of getting a quick shot to ensure a last shot opportunity, we diddled around and gave them the last shot. No media members asked about this in the post game presser, either. That was either bad coaching or terrible execution.

Absolutely have to keep Mack and Yvan. Prefer to keep Cross, Green, and Thor (in no particular order). Don't care what else happens.

By "surprise" do you mean "whoa, didn't expect HIM to leave!" or "wow, didn't think he'd stick around but now he's contributing!"? -

Great article in OWH about these seniors. I would post the link, but you need a subscription to view online. I read the article for free on the Big Red Today app. Check it out if you get a chance. -
Kavas/Cheatham appreciation thread

Cheatham was the first guy to commit to Hoiberg. The FIRST! He will always hold a special place in my Nebrasketball heart. Matej was also on the team this season. -

I'd rather be 1-1 in the tournament than 0-7. -
Do you have any recent examples of DI kids playing/not redshirting their freshman year then non-medical redshirting their sophomore year? This just seems VERY unlikely...
-
As it stands, there will be no freshmen on next season's roster. Is this common? Is it a concern? Thoughts?

Not since he's been at Nebraska. He dealt with and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease right before the Italy trip, causing him to miss that trip.

Most of us do. Because it's fun!

Why so cryptic with a gut feeling? Just trying to hedge your bet or what?

A few weeks ago, I felt that Easley and Green were two of the most likely candidates to leave. I think Green is more likely to stay now that he seems to be settling in to D1 basketball. I doubt Easley will be put on scholarship again next season, so he may want to transfer to a school that offers a full-ride and more playing time. However, I know nothing of the Easley family's financial situation. Perhaps a scholarship doesn't matter?
