  1. Don’t know if there is anything available, but with the auto play transfer waiver right now.. if something is available they may be able to play in Jan.
  2. Another good night for the conference. Maryland was a true road win to boot.
  3. Depends on how you interpret the court ruling recently, but it didn't sound like the NCAA was going to do much about anything with it hung up in the courts.
  4. I mean— everything is really fluid with the courts right now. So to my knowledge it’s currently free transfer season until the courts decide otherwise. If he was going to transfer, one would have to assume he’d have done it already. We’ll need Boogie at some point in the year, so I hope he is bought in and this is just a blip.
  5. Interesting because you keep seeing "The Mountain West is a 5 bid conference" popping up on social media. I guess I could maybe see it, but seeing as they are still the 7th best conference, I'm thinking 3-4 bids there. They'll beat up on each other and someone will be left out. There will be a lot of parity in leagues like the ACC and Pac 12 this year. Hopefully they all beat each other up enough that they only get their minimal share of bids. I still like the Big 10 to grab 6-7 bids. I know it's a "down" year, but we've kind of came back from the dead of late November for the conference as a whole.
  6. My initial thoughts with the above... - There will be a lot of movement between now and the end of the year. Some of those Q3 games are teetering on the Q2 line and some of the Q2 games are teetering with Q1 territory. However, things could also move the other way. - The problem with the B1G this year appears to be your home games. Because teams are flirting with the Q2/Q3 line when you play them at home, a loss in a home game could prove costly. It'll be important for us to lock down the vault from now until March. - The lack of Q1 home opportunities. We have two as of today. Wisconsin and Purdue. Otherwise, if we want to do any Q1 work, it'll have to be on the road which is always tough. There are road games out there to get for sure, but the lack of Q1 home opportunities is concerning. - The NEED for MSU to be in the Top 30 and KSU to be in the Top 75 by years end. We already have two real possibilities for Q1 wins that we've secured. Would greatly benefit us for these two to jump into Q1 territory. - Not really any of our Q4 games are flirting with moving into Q3 territory. Oregon St could well move back to Q4 really easily if things go south there during conference play. The A10 will be a dog fight and if Duquesne doesn't do well there, they could easily move into Q3 territory. - The need for Mast to be back as soon as possible in January. We start off with a Q3 home game which would be really bad to lose and then move into two of our Q1 games right after. An important 3 game stretch to not lose the Q3 for sure, but also possibly pick up a Q1 win.
  7. I have some time today, so I did a NET deep dive for anyone who is interested. A four spot bump in the NET today thanks to teams we beat exceeding expectations! - Michigan St up to #33 which is 3 spots away from making that a Q1 win for us. - Kansas St up to #86 which is 11 spots away from making that a Q1 win for us. - Oregon St up to #198 which bumps that from a Q4 win to a Q3 win. They would have to get into the Top 100 to make it a Q2, so that's unlikely to happen. - Minnesota at #87 remains well into Q2 loss territory. As long as they can play semi-well, that loss won't be as big of a black eye as one might have thought when it happened. Resume As Of Today (56 NET): It's not as bad as you might think. It's certainly bubble worthy as it stands, but also isn't NCAA Lock worthy either. Lot's of opportunity in conference play. Q1 (0-1): Creighton Q2 (3-1): Duquesne, @Minny, MSU, @KSU Q3 (1-0): Oregon St. Q4 (6-0): Lindenwood, FL A&M, Rider, Stoney Brook, Fullerton, North Dakota Remaining Quads As Of Today: Reminder that these will fluctuate throughout the season as teams move up and down. Here is what we're looking at as of today. Q1: @Wisconsin, Purdue, @Iowa, Wisconsin, @Illinois, @Northwestern, @Ohio State, @Michigan Q2: @Rutgers, Northwestern, Ohio State, Michigan, @Indiana Q3: Indiana, @Maryland, Penn St, Minnesota, Rutgers Q4: SCST
  8. All good things with the teams that have a pulse (or 1/2 a pulse) that we've played in Non-Con... which is nice. Oregon State-- after losing to both Baylor and Pitt when they played us has rattled off 5 wins in a row (against cupcakes) and sit at 8-3 heading into their UCLA game on the 28th. Duquesne-- has won 4 in a row after losing to us. They sit at 8-2 with a semi-tough matchup against Santa Clara. If they win that one, they should head into A-10 play at 10-2. MSU-- we all know they've turned it on. They are moving into Top 20 KenPom territory, but more importantly, moving toward Top 30 NET territory which would give us a Q1 win. KSU-- A nice win tonight against Wichita State to move to 9-3. WSU was having a decent season to date and that'll be a nice neutral court win for KSU. Hopefully they can continue to do well in Big 12 play.
  9. Audible Boos in this one. Lol!
  10. I guess this was at the start of OT last night. At least we wait until the game is out of hand and over to rush the exits lol!
  11. From what I understand— the teams that don’t play 2 games will have one less “bye” period after the New Year. So they get their “bye” period in December.
  12. I may have misheard, but they referenced multiple times on the BTN+ broadcast that there was a semi-large group of UND players that were going to be dropped off at the Omaha airport for flights home after our game. I wonder if the earlier start time had anything to do with those flights?
  13. We need a “shocked” reaction for posts like this. No other reactions will do this post justice.
  14. CJ, for all of his faults, has spent his time here perfecting a craft that fits his build, style, and athleticism. I’ve come to appreciate him more and more over the years. He’s not going to be the star night in and out, but he’s accepted his role. For the most part, he never tries to do too much and accepts his role each night. He’s an important reason, I believe, as to why we’re sitting at 10 wins before Christmas.
  15. It was a team effort both to start how we did but also end where we did.
  16. I thought for sure Boogie would see some minutes last night. Especially with the way the first half was going. After the Minnesota debacle, I was ok with a DNP against MSU and KSU. His effort against Minnesota was unacceptable. However, I didn’t realize just how in the dog house he was until last night. A DNP last night followed up by another DNP against SCST could spell a long Jan-Mar.
  17. This meme doesn’t work if CU can’t keep up in the W column…
  18. Dropped into the low 40's for T-Rank as well. You see what a win like that did to us... just imagine what a loss would have done. Rest up, come back next week and get back to it. Need a big W vs SCST and then the fun starts.
  19. We desperately need Mast back for the Indiana game. 1st half Allick (and Big Red) doesn't give us a chance without Mack. 2nd half Allick would give us a chance, but Mast seems to be a piece that we can ill afford to lose.
  20. This is definitely accurate. I can confidently admit that I was having flashbacks when UND got up 14 early in the 2nd.
  21. We better figure it out... and fast. This team is too good to be losing games like we did tonight. It's not THAT we lost... though that does sting. It's HOW we lost.
  22. A hit to the NET, KenPom, etc. after a win is a lot better than the hit we'd take with a loss.
