My take is Win & Lock = not going to miss out even if you lose some games later on. Lose & Scary = very close to being out. Bubblicious. Win doesn’t lock you though.

uneblinst's postgame chatter: vol 16; ed 29- Ohio State

Played really good D coming out of half too and couldn’t hit water if we fell out of a boat while playing that good D. -
I know last night sucked, but our metrics didn’t move terribly much and we’re still Top 30 in both resume metrics which is HUGE!

OSU has Michigan and @Rutgers to end it. They win those two and then Wed/Thu in Minny, that Friday game becomes Huge! Win that Friday game and they’re at 22 wins and Dayton is a distinct possibility. They’ve certainly got some work to do with their metrics, but winning 6 in a row would help those immensely. -
Seems like all these other teams lose and maybe drop a spot or two. We lose and fricking drop to 39 in Pom.

Hard to argue with Gary taking the threes after Sunday though. -

This loss doesn’t put us in the last 8 in the field category just yet. However, we aren’t cemented just yet either. Thankfully most bubble teams are taking losses right now too which is helping us stay out of the most bubbly group. Win Sunday and then take the week off to rest up before we go win in Michigan. -
Yes— Fred and Tim. Compared to their initial ranking.

Why did it work this year? What's different?
hskr4life replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Confidence and positive momentum. Theres something to feeling like you can’t lose at home. It’s why that win at Indiana was huge. Our road mindset was complete affected by the “can’t win on the road narrative.” -
Well.. these two teams went in completely different directions this year. Happy to say we went the right one.

I saw the slate of mid-major madness today and was like Noooope… Go Big Red! lol

Nebraska (20-8) vs. Ohio St. (16-12) Game Thread
hskr4life replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Don’t want to gloss over 1. Juwan used his shoulder injury last year to work on his form. Kudos. His shot is much improved. 2. Fred’s praise for Boogie as both a leader and acceptor of his role on the team. Boogie’s situation can’t be easy at all. I have so much respect for someone who is making the best of his situation vs causing a stink. It’s rare these days but it’ll take him far in life. -
Short update today. Game To Watch: Nebraska @ Ohio St Win tonight and it doesn’t matter what other bubble teams are doing. Let them fight it out for a spot while we cement our spot in the dance. Other interesting games if you want to watch… Stanford @ Utah Michigan @ Rutgers Gonzaga @ San Francisco

FWIW, I think we’d lock at least into Dayton with a win tonight. Not a bracketologist, have no committee inside info, but just kind of looking at other teams and what they still would need to do… what we’ve already done… and our metric numbers, I think we’d lock in tonight should we win. Q1 opportunity on tap! Should be a good one!

Dawson Garcia with as many points in 8 minutes as he had in our whole game.

Running through team sheets of teams around us in the bracket matrix averages. Honestly believe if the season ended today, we’d be closer to a 7 seed than 10 seed. Our metrics are right up there with the 7-8 seeds. Our resume metrics are very good. 26.5 average between KPI and SOR. So I think we’re safely in where things stand now. I know a lot of brackets still have us as a 11 or 10 seed, but just looking at teams around us, a 7 is probably closer to accurate as of today.

His T’s against Baylor, at least the one, was complete hogwash.

It’s always interesting seeing whose records are inflated and deflated due to schedule this time of year. Teams like Purdue look pretty at 6-2 until you see who they’ve played. Us at 4-3 looks surprisingly mediocre until you see who we’ve played.

Idk that Fred could ever get 2 Ts in a single game. So we should be good there. lol
