Up by 4 at halftime on the road at Maryland. Looking pretty solid.
I do struggle to see what McVeigh does that Roby and/or Horne can't do better. To me, McVeigh looks like just as much of a liability on defense as Roby and/or Horne. The difference is that Roby/Horne actually bring something on the offensive side.
I really think Horne should get all of McVeigh's minutes in the second half. He cought fire vs Indiana and he looks like he could step into the role of consistent 3pt shooter, which is something that Nebraska has desperately needed for awhile now. It would be nice to see him knock a few more 3s down in the second half, so he is riding high on confidence heading into the rest of the Big Ten schedule.
This is a HUGE half. Starting the Big Ten schedule out 2-0 with wins on the road at Indiana and at Maryland could seriously be enough to change the trajectory of this team for the rest of the season. It would have an enormous impact on their confidence.
