SIlverbacked...I liked how the game was reffed. This makes all the difference in the world. Echinique runs into the same problems. I hope they let both of these big boys go at it with each other next week.

This kid has got to be smart enough to know what the average attendance is. However, it would be a good sign of support showed towards him if people do show up.

I look forward to the day when the series starts getting interesting, again. Not just that one game, but the season as a whole, for both teams. It will be great when both teams are competitive (NCAA tournament teams) in their respective leagues..The Jays number one objective HAS to be winning the Valley first. Then whatever else falls in place makes it more interesting. I hope Miles gets the Huskers to the same point.

Husker BBAll13 said: 2-3 years down the road I'd like to see a roster of Miles players that has some athletic guards/bigs and a couple guys that can shoot the three ball. We will see if he can get it done. It's not easy to do when you are a Mid-Major or lower level BCS school.

Their defense has alot to be desired, but, believe it or not, it has been better this year. The Broncos also shot lights out last night, also. (I know some of that was poor defense.) But, I would rather lose a game every once in awhile 83-70 than by 50-48. Apparently the fans, according to numbers, also prefer that.

I like that... a moronic Creighton fan. Thank you.

I've been telling you guys all along that you could take the Jays. Although, I think you failed to mention a possible "Las Vegas Hangover" in your assessment. Although, Boise State just schooled the Jays, hangover or not. Good teams don't let that happen. You guys beat a BCS team last night and the Jays lost to a mid-major. And we all know that BCS schools are always better than non BCS schools. Heck, I think Creighton will be on a two-game losing streak when they come into Lincoln next week St. Joe's will be tough this Saturday and they're not a BCS school either. And the Huskers will be on a two game winning streak after beating USC (two BCS schools). Jays are on shaky ground.

How many wins does NU get in the next 4 games? WF, USC, CU, OR
Tony replied to FredsSlacks's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
It will be a close game. records/team strength usually get thrown out the window in these games. Jays have been prone to foul trouble. McDermott sitting out half a game, Echinique only playing 12 minutes against ASU, Chapman in foul trouble agains ASU. Shooting percentage by team and Doug is down compared to last year. You guys stand a pretty good chance. -

Norm said: One thing right off the bat that I'll say is that no matter how bad things go this season, the impression I get is that Tim Miles will not go into any game thinking we don't have a chance to win or that we have no business being on the same floor as whoever we're playing. That attitude -- without a supporting cast of players -- might not translate into extra wins. But it should serve us well in the long term. This reminds me of Dana Altman's early years. Hang in there Huskers and just enjoy watching the players develop as the season goes on. -
The Huskers are who we thought they were...
Tony replied to Handy Johnson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
They played it a little but they predominantly played man-to-man. So, you won't have to worry. -
Hey, what about me!
-
They may only get 15,000 that game. Isn't Nebraska playing like the fourth best team from the other division??
-
Wow, I'll probably have to break down and get a cell phone one of these days. But, I doubt it.
-
There is a Creighton viewing party for the game at Aksarben Cinema in Omaha. How can they do this if it is not on TV?

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Husker fans. (Just the basketball fans.) I think that your new coach will make you very thankful in the future. I never thought that about the previous coaches. But, then again, as most of you know, my mouth often moves before my mind.

Bruce Rasmussen. He's pretty good... by IH8SIU ยป Wed Nov 21, 2012 11:08 am Since Sept. 28, the Creighton volleyball, Creighton men's soccer, Creighton men's basketball and Creighton women's basketball teams are a combined 31-1-1. I know I'm intentionally leaving the women's soccer team out of the discussion, but regardless, that's just straight domination across the board. Bruce only has one building named after him?

No, Nebraska won that game.
-
This is probably why they did not show the Iowa - Wichita State game last night.
-
This is my last shameless plug, I promise. I would love the chance to meet posters from the Omaha area--even Creighton fans (well, Cousin Mose for sure....) Thanks cip. I enjoy your posts and thoughts. Wish I could make it for a breakfast burger but we are heading for Long Pine on Friday. Have a nice Thanksgiving and good luck to the Huskers tonight.

Jeesh; I would have preferred my Big 10 reason. Oh well, as I stated, mine was a pure guess. But, yes, CU does compete with the Big 10 teams in the midwest for recruits. You can coose not to believe that; it's a free country.
-
Wow, 138 points for the game...by one player!
-
Not a bad idea. And, maybe, the Jays could do the same thingin Lincoln.
-
That's sad. But who knows, maybe you're right. Hopefully, this will change. Who do they have on that night?
