I am typically fascinated by the scenario generator. This year it seems like a waste of my time as there are so many close games, that there are endless realistic combinations at this point. I agree with others that Purdue is probably who I least desire to play. I would like to be a 7 seed and Playing Iowa or Penn St., or an 8 seed playing one of those two clubs, and Purdue not landing on the 1 line. That would be the best case I believe. Especially if Mich St Purdue Maryland are all on the other side. If NW is on the 4 line we want a part of the 8-9 game instead of a 7-10 game IMO.

I am venturing to guess that no team has ever won at Indiana, Maryland and Ohio St in the same season. And I will also venture to guess it will never happen again in my lifetime. -

Have to give a shout out to Jake. Once again he played far better than the box score will indicate. Made many a huge steal or play to keep us in striking distance. -
B1G officiating: mission to screw Nebraska?

Good point Blind. Other than that horrific call on Morrow, that was generally the case. -
Great to win this thing without Roby. This a team we need him against too. He can match up with the athletic ability they are blessed with.

B1G officiating: mission to screw Nebraska?

At least this crew didn't keep making ridiculous make up calls every time they made a shitty call. That Wisconsin game was maddening watching that happen a handful of times. Our crowd even let them have it one time on a call that went our way. -
If memory serves from playing there about 25 years ago, it seemed there were light towers in the playing field in center? That still the case, or I am dreaming that altogether?
-
Think you just missed him not matching up well with that team. They are just too quick of leapers for him it seems.

I was so happy when I saw Tate pick up the dribble. They were almost certain to have to make a jumper at that point. Really good defense there at the end. Both by Jack and especially Tai.

B1G officiating: mission to screw Nebraska?
royalfan replied to aphilso1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Aphilso1 has this one right. The wisdom of our play has no correlation to the officiating. We had a couple calls go our way after the horrific Morrow call at least. I am not a big officiating bitcher, but we have been on the short end for sure this season. Probably resides somewhere in between what most here think and the truth. -
Some accountability for flopping, even if post game. Creighton might be playing with walk ons in some games if this were inplemented.

uneblinstu's Post Game Chatter: Vol 9, Ed 25 - Penn State

It isn't your imagination. I think it is a product of coincidence mainly. Often times, it is foul trouble and he has sometimes struggled to regain his flow. And tonight, I think it was Miles wanting to match up with their small lineup since we had the lead. Just speculation on my part, but I think it is somewhat correct. -

Was one blessing that came out of the Rutgers debacle. Jack gained a big time confidence boost. Without that boost, we probably wouldn't have won the Purdue game. -

As he learns to pass out of doubles and after getting an out of scoring position offensive rebound he can be very good. As Miles has said numerous times, it is like having a running game in football. -
Seem like a likeable bunch. I have always rooted for Penn St in basketball. A little too jealous to root for them in wrestling. I like Chambers and hope he can find success they haven't seen to this point, as long as it doesn't hurt Nebrasketball too much.

Boom. Cip back doing what he does best. Like it.

Both long term and near term.

Agree with what Norm said. It was reasonably well officiated in my opinion. Seemed consistent, which is the main thing to me as well. As for the specific call asked about, no I cannot explain it.

Loved how we showed we can play with a lead. We haven't had enough chances to do that to learn to be good at it. We have struggled this year in that position for the most part. We can beat anyone in the league. We are going to need to do that at least 4 times in D.C. Best we start learning to play with a lead, as we are going to need to close out the games we get one in to win 4 in a row. -

This. Not that the rest of the breakdown wasn't excellent as well. -

I was at the prep Classic as well. First of all, I really would love to get Cheng. He is the real deal. Guys that long, shouldn't be able to shoot like that. So much talent to work with. Also like that he is forced to play center basically on defense, so he will know how to play in there, even though he wouldn't be playing in there here very much. As for Aurora, they would beat Omaha South 8 out of 10 times after watching that game. Aurora has some developing problems though. Baylor coming on to the scene in such a significant way has possibly taken too many shots away from Penner and Leiniger who is really in a bad slump. They won't win if he doesn't pick it up. Baylor Scheierman is easily the best player right now. He had a bad shooting game though in this one. He is a great shooter though. I think for them to operate at peak performance, he needs to back the pedal down just a touch and he needs to be playing off the ball more. Let others drive and kick to him for easier, shorter treys that are less contested. It also could lead to better play from Tommy and Penner. Odd deal where I think they might be better next year, even though they will have worse players. They can still win it all, but they have got to start playing like they are capable. -
If you cannot understand simple things like math based statistical probability then not much reason to continue a discussion. Any event is always penal in nature or it isn't. It isn't based on results after the fact. It is based on history of the results of that particular event. A 1-1 does not penalize a team for fouling in many situations. A two shot foul would accomplish that aside from extreme outliers. Not sure what is so hard to understand?

Not to be pedantic, but it wouldn't be a media time out any longer. It would be a quarter break time out.
