Best Nebraska Men's Basketball Coach This Century?
royalfan replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Miles in a landslide. -
You have never been too fond of Smith for some reason. He was a big part of the tourney team so I am a bit perplexed by that. To each his own.
-
Yikes. That would have been dangerous, especially when obvious(in hindsight) how important Smith was to that squad. Hard to imagine after that Wisconsin game that year we are where we are. Bummer he couldn't run with the momentum from that.
-
Me too, as I am guessing he wouldn't be lacking it.
-
So you would not have traded in Miles with a dumpster fire coming back so likely to get fired the next year anyway for Hoiberg if you thought you had a chance to land him? p.S. It is more like the 20th best 2 year stretch in Nebraska history. More games and especially more "buy" games can make your definition of winningest by simply adding up win counts kind of a faulty measure of success.

My vocabulary doesn't go deep enough. I do put about 17 or so of them on Miles. There was not any talent whatsoever left behind. But even then, it is hard to fathom or put into words. Hoiberg looks exhausted. It is a very similar story as Frost. Comes in good looking, energetic. Seems like it will work great. Neither guys systems worked well in Big 10 and both very uncomfortable figuring out what does work. Both look beaten down and defeated. Neither likely to have a very happy ending. Tough deal.

Not sure what you call 36-56 in the league since Smith left. I call it an unmitigated disaster. I can't help you padna if you think it is good.
-
I thought we fired him after he went 6-14 in the league and left a completely empty cupboard for Hoiberg to deal with. Had he came back we might well have gone 0-20. It was an unmitigated disaster since Craig Smith left him. Smith was obviously the guy doing the coaching.

Love the double down with the 6th grade LOL.
-
Very important to many in Omaha.
-
Why were they so butthurt when he came here then instead of going there again?
-
I am sure a Bluejay fan in Omaha is the measuring stick of being the expert on the St. Johns assistant coaching tree.

craig smith the best coach we have had in ages as far as gameplans and in game execution are concerned. Sinking ship ever since he left.

Gotta keep for wrestling.

I can't help nut wonder how often we practice at PBA. It isn't the easiest building to shoot in(backdrop wise etc) and if we are not shooting there enough to make it an advantage, it is a problem. -
Being a sports fan stinks! Tell us your story.

The whole thing started when my broke college parents bought be some Dolphins pajamas out of the clearance rack. It seemingly has never got back on the rails, other than a brief Royals run. -

Anyone know where I can watch the full version of "No Sit Sunday" or purchase a copy? I want to make sure Parker's dad shows him this. -

His passing is excellent. His handles are rapidly improving to the point he will be able to get by guys as tight as they will have to play him. He was getting all kinds of defensive treatment in aau and huge numbers were always the result. -

Selfishly(dad a friend of mine from high school), and not selfishly, this would be awesome for #Nebrasketball. He would automatically step in and be one of the best shooters to play here in a long while. Growing athletic ability and strength to go with it. He shoots that pure quick delivery, you aren't just hoping it goes in, you are surprised when it doesn't. -
rest assured, we would have the open numbers, one way or another
