Andre Smith, IMO, is one of the most underrated Huskers ever. At 6'7", he went against players 3-6" taller than him every game and still dominated. It would have been nice to see him playing for a year or two with Hoppen, but that's pretty much the story of Nebraska basketball, isn't it? We're always just a little off with timing...
Nothing wrong with the King selection. He had all the tools, and his senior year, had a ton of talent surrounding him. He had better athleticism than Hoppen, but Hoppen had such a touch around the basket and Iba had an offense designed to get him the ball.
Like I originally said, and others before me, this is not an easy exercise having watched everyone on the list play. It's a little hard to believe that all these really good, if not great players, don't have an NCAA Tourney victory among them. Such is life.....
