Here's the 2013 edition of the futility series. As everyone knows, neither program has a win in the NCAA Tourney. Northwestern has never been invited. They seem to creep closer every year to an invitation. A Nebraska win today would be a setback in their quest. If the Huskers can't make it this year, let's do all we can to keep the Wildcats out. Shallow? Hell yes! As for today's game, Northwestern is favored by 2. That surprises me some seeing how good Northwestern is away from home and how poorly Nebraska has played in Lincoln. The Wildcats will play a 1-3-1 zone, so we better be hitting from the outside today and getting penetration to the bucket. I have a feeling we will. The Huskers are dreaming for that first NCAA Tourney victory next year or the year after. Let's make sure the Wildcats are doing the same. GBR!
