  2. Securing Andrew White, Ed Morrow and Glynn Watson's commitments.
  3. A scorching 43 percent in both Champaign and Columbus, 33 percent at home against Iowegia. All of those are better than the 29.4 percent we shot in State College. Sigh.
  4. We shot 30 percent from the field against Maryland on Sunday, as well.
  5. I listened to the national radio broadcast, and the last play went like this: "Newbill in the lane, jumper, no good. Defensive rebound by Rivers. Ball is loose. Tie up. Possession to Penn State." Pray tell, what happened to David? (I think I know, given the way Penn State's bigs generally crash the boards.)
  6. So we want them out of their funk? May I suggest Mr. George Clinton and Parliament, then:
  7. With all the foul trouble, I'm thinking Trevor and Kye make huge plays down the stretch on senior night to secure the win.
  8. Stivrins graduated from Lincoln East in 1980, and his final season at CU (the one out west) was 1984-85, so his NBA career pre-dates Strickland's. Furthermore, I still can't believe that a classmate of mine chose to attend Creighton, and then transfer to Colorado. He's a doctor now, so he's not stupid. It just may appear that way. (Sorry, Alex.) Well, his family has seen the light--his daughter has committed to play volleyball at....NEBRASKA! Good on her. His 6-11 son is a junior backup center at Nevada.

  11. Leslee Smith is a man — with bad knees, but still, a man.
  12. Doc Sadler coached here for six years, as did Barry Collier. Neither ever sniffed the success that Miles achieved last year. Danny Nee didn't until his fifth year. Tim Miles should have til the end of the decade.
  13. Another positive note: dragging out the se Here's a positive note: we're 30 percent from deep tonight — above our season average of 28.7. Our defensive free throw percentage is 20 percent. Another positive. Woo-hoo!!!!

  15. In today's college basketball where a BCS team can stock their non-con with a bunch of gimmees it seems impossible that someone could finish a year sub .500. What the hell is going on with this team? We don't make many baskets.
  16. Nebraska has yet to miss a free throw, while OSU has missed four. So there's that going for us.
