  1. More than anything, it will be nice to see a rotation loaded with talented juniors and seniors. Nebraska isn't a blue-blood hoops program (sorry to let you down), so we won't be getting any Josh Jacksons in the near future, so when programs like Nebraska excel, it often happens because those programs have more mature rosters. Look at Nebraska's best team in the last 30 years, the 1990-91 squad. Remember, the teams preceding 1990-91 went 10-18 (3-11 in the Big 8) and 17-16 (4-10 in the Big 8). The nine-man rotation that year included five seniors (King, Farmer, Scales, Reid and Moody), three juniors (Hayes, Owens and Ramos) and one redshirt freshman (Pike). That's about where this program will be in 2018-2019: The rotation could very well consist of six seniors (Watson, Palmer, McVeigh, Copeland, Morrow and Jacobson), three juniors (Roby, Tshimanga and Horne) and a redshirt freshman (Akenton). Think about that. Next year's team, from a depth of experience perspective, should look more like this year's Northwestern squad. Northwestern's rotation consists of two seniors, three juniors, two sophomores (one of them a third-year player) and two freshmen. In 2017-2018, Nebraska's rotation will be taken from two seniors (Gill and Taylor — sorry, Nick F.), six juniors (Watson, Palmer, McVeigh, Copeland, Morrow and Jacobson) and three sophomores (Roby, Tshimanga and Horne). Of course, the caveat is that college basketball isn't what it used to be, and players are freer to move around from team to team, but it's still exciting to look forward. Certainly beats looking back or debating with morons on Rivals about whether Miles should be fired.
  2. How about that 2018-2019 rotation? Watson/Embery or Kezo Brown Palmer/Akenton Copeland/Roby Morrow/McVeigh Jacobson/Tshimanga Too soon?
  3. But her breasts are brand new!
  4. Are you talking about these guys?
  5. Nick Fuller says "hello."
  6. Watson Taylor Copeland Morrow Jacobson Horne, McVeigh, Tshimanga, Palmer and Gill off the bench.
  7. Obviously, I watch only Nebraska games.
  8. Swanigan and Haas are good, but they're not Dererk Pardon good.
  9. Put Tai in the whirlpool, in a boot and let him rest for a couple of days. MSU we can beat, but probably not without him. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  10. However this game progresses, can we just agree to end it with two seconds left? Please?
  11. Teams are a combined 10 of 38 from inside the arc, and 12 of 21 from deep. That'll last. NU 32-26
  12. Interesting stats: Both teams shoot 48 2-point FGs and make 20 = 40-40 points Both teams shoot 15 3-point FGs, and Neb makes 3 while NW makes 6 = 9-18 points Both teams shoot 19 FTs, and Nebraska makes 12 while NW makes 15 = 12-15 points
  13. Thanks for all the commentary. ESL class on Thursday nights spared me from that one and a few more this season.
  14. jayschool to huskerbaseball13: You're a genius. huskerbaseball13 to jayschool: You're a genius, too, but just 15 seconds faster of a genius.
  15. I think it's important not to play in the 11/14 or 12/13 game on the first day. Secure a 10 seed and play 7, 2, 3 and 1 on consecutive days. Purdue is the most problematic matchup, but everyone else isn't that much better — if at all — than a healthy Husker team.
  16. Northwestern 77 Nebraska 68 9 assists
  17. You have to give the scriptwriters credit: While we may all be able to predict the gut-wrenching ending of a Nebrasketball season, how we get there always has a few wrinkles.
  18. It's just a game. It's just a game. It's just a game. (SCCCHHHIIIIIITTTTT!!!) It's just a game. It's just a game. It's just a game. (PHUUUUUCCCCCCC......!!!) It's just a game. (sob)
  19. Beat the hell out of Northwestern! That's all I got.
  20. I watch the game streaming, so it's always on delay, but I cheat by looking at ESPN.Com to get updates before I watch the action. Both Wednesday night and today ESPN.Com announced a final in Nebraska's favor. Crap.
