86 - 69 Final     Huskers win.

HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!  86-69 Husker Ladies Blow It Open in the last five minutes  to Win what was an even, see-saw dogfight up to then.

Very impressive win......the girls kicked behind in the 4th qtr. 

Cain with triple double !!      

We are a tough team when it's close in the 4th.  Much much different than last year. 

I was impressed

Radio crew was going nuts.   Nebraska team record for blocks in a game was 10.  Cain had 11 tonight, by herself.  Team had 13 (I think).

Heros of the Game?????? Too many to name. Kate Cain, of course, with triple double (or something like that), a zillion Blocks (not all of which are counted in the Stats), gets knocked to the floor and comes up Laughing , Hannah Whitish, Scrappy Emily Wood, Nicea Eliely, Maddie Simon, Jasmine Cincore, Rachel Blackburn, Darrien Washington, Grace Mitchell, and Bria Stallworth; virtually everyone that played!

I would like to add Coach Williams to that list.

Matt was calling all the blocks he saw;  several of them were consecutive blocks on put-backs.  I don't think they all made it into the Stats! 

I liked the way the team attacked the press. Cain is a big person, she had numerous screens were she took out two players.

Washington State has the size to match the Huskers.

Here's a stat I like:  Jasmine:  4 assists, 0 turnovers.   She is doing a way better job of valuing the basketball.     It is good to see 4th year players continuing to improve.

I know I harp on it....

but look at the shooting percentages...50+ % overall, 39% three's.....and wow ....70% free throws.  It makes a huge difference in your prospects of winning the game.

Won't repeat them here, but look at the 4th qtr shooting stats.......those are winners.Way to go ladies !!
