Fullbacksympathy Posted March 5, 2016 Report Posted March 5, 2016 If we land a 5 or two and our record improves tremendously, the logic to blame Molinari will, by its own nature, have to be used to credit and praise him for the turnaround. The lack of attention to our personnel deficiencies as a genuine factor in this argument is baffling. Quote

royalfan Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 If we start playing better defense with his defensive "expertise" while winning games during this turnaround, I will join you. Red Don and gobigredbrah 1 1 Quote
lanigan123 Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Many offenses and defenses can be truly enhanced by a versatile big man. Perhaps one who protects the paint on the defensive end and one with solid enough offensive numbers capable of drawing defenders away from the shooters. Hmmm, interesting concept. I am sure such a man is never in the thoughts of a coach at any level in basketball. I actually think good shooting guards open up space for big men to actually operate. Quote
Cazzie22 Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 The program has been on a slide since it blew that big lead against Ohio State in the B1G Tournament two years ago. We still haven't recovered. We just need better players. But those aren't easy to find. Quote
hskr4life Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 The program has been on a slide since it blew that big lead against Ohio State in the B1G Tournament two years ago. We still haven't recovered. We just need better players. But those aren't easy to find. You really do not think we have the players to compete in the Big 10. I disagree. I saw us compete. Yeah everything post Michigan State sucked, but if you seriously do not think we have players that can compete... something is wrong. Now those players have to learn how to win. That is a big deal and something totally different. We were also playing without some needs that left us vulnerable. We really need another solid shooter and a big man. Glynn Watson, Ed Marrow, Michael Jacobson, Jack McVeigh, Andrew White, Anton Gill, Tai Webster are all Big 10 level players that we have coming back next year. Were some a little raw this year? Yes they were. But to say other Big 10 teams wouldn't want any of those players would be a mistake. Red Don 1 Quote
