B1G reveals conference opponents for 2016

Big Ten schools on Thursday revealed a breakdown of their opponents for the 2016 Big Ten women’s basketball season. The 14 Big Ten teams will compete in an 18-game conference schedule, playing five teams both home and away and eight teams once. Each team will play four of its single-play opponents at home and four on the road.

 

Here's Nebraska's slate:

 

Nebraska
Home: Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin
Away: Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State
Home/Away: Indiana, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers

Ugh, we play both Maryland and Minnesota on the road.

Next year we'll be a completely different team....a lot will have to be sorted out. Not so sure we'll be able to start real strong...but with the newcomers, and existing players...and hopefully a recovered Rachel T...we'll thrive.

 

We'll be pretty strong down the road after a few games. (especially if the leg/ankle/foot issue is solved, and all hands need to be on board from the start. Something must have caused that.....)

 

Already looking forward to next year, and it's possibilities.

If I recall from both this year and what appears to be next year, it's the opposite of the men's schedule (play the same teams but the men's home only games are the women's road only games, etc.)
