Norm Peterson Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 According to Lee B's Monday column, Miles was in New Hampshire recruiting recently. "The Huskers — in the middle of a nine-day layoff from games — took the weekend off, but Miles didn’t. He was in New Hampshire evaluating prospects at a prep school event." Only Prep School I can come up with in New Hampshire that might have some players would be Brewster Academy. And, it looks like everyone decent for 2013 has already committed, leaving 2014. And the only uncomitted players for 2014 would include ... Rivals 4-star shooting guard Jared Terrell and Rivals 4-star PG Kevin Zabo. While Rivals doesn't reflect us being involved with either player (they aren't always up-to-date) they both list schools in our area including Iowa State. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/recruit-search-results Don't know if we're in on either of these kids but it's something to think about I guess. Norm Peterson Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 OK, scratch that. Tory Miller is at the New Hampton School in NH. That may have been who Miles was going to see. Quote
GATA Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Point guard Travis Jorgenson, I believe, is up there too. He plays for New Hampton Prep. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 It could also be those teams were playing someone. The prep schools in the northeast are pretty much like all-star teams with anywhere from 2-5 major D-1 players on the roster every year. I am hoping that our coaches are heading back to the NE in January for the Hoop Hall Classic. That tournament will have about 75 D-1 players in that tournament. Its probably the best HS tournament every year. My friend goes every year and see's every major college hoops programs coach in the crowd. He said he cant ever remember seeing a Nebraska coach. Hoping that changes. Quote
colhusker Posted December 14, 2012 Report Posted December 14, 2012 Point guard Travis Jorgenson, I believe, is up there too. He plays for New Hampton Prep. If Jorgenson is truely Div 1 material, not saying he is not but was told MU cooled on him, being from Mid-MO might help us. Quote
