Huskerpapa Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Karl Hess is officiating the Kentucky/Louisville game. It is interesting in that he (and the entire crew) are letting this game play out. Result, it is a very physical game, but entertaining. Perhaps Hess (heeheehee) is not as bad as Husker Nation (and dozens of other teams) believe him to be. Quote
HB Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 I vote that he is absolutely as bad as Husker nation and other teams believe him to be..... Silverbacked1, Bugeaters1 and The_Vault 3 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Me too. He may have gone told reign it in if you still want to do the big games. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted December 27, 2014 Author Report Posted December 27, 2014 It was sort of interesting that Bilas was doing the game and he has a history of tweeting about his dislike of Hess. Bilas did go off on calls relating to elbows and flopping during the game, but I did not hear him comment on Hess specifically. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 It was sort of interesting that Bilas was doing the game and he has a history of tweeting about his dislike of Hess. Bilas did go off on calls relating to elbows and flopping during the game, but I did not hear him comment on Hess specifically. I'm sure Jay was instructed to keep his personal thoughts out of the broadcast regarding his opinion of Karl Hess. Tweeting about Hess-officiated games that Bilas is not broadcasting is likely "fair game"... Silverbacked1 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted March 28, 2015 Author Report Posted March 28, 2015 Does anyone know if Hess did the Utah v Duke game last night? The game is getting some post-game debate due to the foul that was called at the end. The final free throw allowed Duke to cover the spread and had a lot of people saying this was suspicious. Quote
Red Don Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 I don't know. I thought he was finished in basketball after the ACC fired him in January for making an inappropriate ethnic comment; but maybe not! Quote
