Former Husker Lis Brenden has been fired as head coach at Lincoln Southwest.

“We felt we needed a change in leadership,” athletic director Mark Armstrong said, explaining the move. “We appreciate everything Lis has done. She leaves the program in a good position, but we think we can raise the bar.”

Southwest finished #8 in the final Class A standings this season with a 15-10 record. This news isn't too surprising as I thought this might have happened a few years ago. Sounds like a lot of Southwest boosters grew tired of her sideline antics.

Shows how different things are at the high schools in Lincoln.  I can think of one in particular that should have fired their coach last year but are still letting him stink things up.  What were her antics on the sideline?  I have seen them play multiple times and didn't notice anything too outrageous, and I know of a lot of current players who love playing for her.
