AuroranHusker Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Tonight, with a victory over the Illini, Miles will have earned his 10th B1G wins prior to his 20th B1G loss. Considering NU was 5-17 just a few weeks ago, a 5th win in 7 B1G games would be the 1st time NU has been 5-2 in a conference regular season stretch in TEN YEARS! Time to make it happen for this program, as possible post-season opportunities are riding on tonight's outcome. Time for the team to rise to the occasion with the fans being a huge factor in making the visitors feel our presence! GBR! Quote
HuskerFever Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 This would have been a great opportunity to call the thread "MILEStone." Quote

AuroranHusker Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 Better a Milestone than a millstone. If the game concludes w/ a millstonesque outcome, there will be grinding & gnashing of teeth by Miles & Husker fanatics alike. Norm Peterson 1 Quote

GoBigRed Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Man, gettin 10 conf wins before u get 20 losses aint no accomplishment! Kinda embarassing to even act like it is!!!!! No, but his point was more that going 5-2 at any stretch in the Big Ten is an accomplishment. Quote
hskr4life Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Man, gettin 10 conf wins before u get 20 losses aint no accomplishment! Kinda embarassing to even act like it is!!!!! It's not like Miles came in here with a team full of talent in the weakest team in the league. Welcome to the real world... Open your eyes, if you expected Miles to come in and right away not have a conference losing record the first year or two your either nuts or.... Nuts Quote

Maybe we need to re-hash this Being 5-2 in the top-rated B1G conference after starting his career 5-17 w/ a depleted roster is a great accomplishment for Miles & Co! Now let's keep it going w/ the W's... Quote
PimpMario Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I am not so sure that is a "milestone" we should be bringing up. Miles did improve his winning percentage to .500 I believe. Quote

Miles did improve his winning percentage to .500 I believe. 5-2 for the 1st time in conference play in TEN YEARS! There's a reason us Husker fans are a "long-suffering" fandom. It is time to celebrate the small successes on the way to B1G ones!! Quote
