There a gentleman that sits in my section who kind of knows whats what in the program will ask him Saturday. He wasn't at last Saturday's game so I didn't get to ask him.

I have heard that she is graduating and since she was not receiving much playing time, she decided to just get on with her life.  Probably a sensible decision since she is a very smart young lady and her greatest successes are ahead of her.

I initially heard that as well, but now have been told she isn't graduating until May.  She just opted to hang it up.

Ah that makes sense I guess. Wish her the best of luck I always rooted for her.

I heard it was due to lack of playing time and just wanting to get on with life.

that's a shame. i thought she could still come off the bench and give the huskers some good minutes---but, if your heart is no longer in it. she seemed to be full of support for the players on the floor when she was on the bench. wish katie nothing but the best!

Is too bad for sure. I had it in my mind that she was going to come up big in a crucial situation for this team. She looked like she'd been working in the off season to me. Improved.
