Since Norm has a "man crush" on this kid, thought I'd give an update on him. He is now at Polk State College.

Thanks for posting, kldm. Very interesting article beyond the update on Jeter, on the whole transfer situation. It will be interesting to see if Pitt will keep an offer open for Sheldon for next year.

Wow. Ernie Chambers was all over Barry Collier when Collier wouldn't release Kevin Augustine. Collier eventually relented and granted Augustine his unconditional release. Sounds like Kevin Stallings is being a bit of an a-hole. Let the kid transfer to Pitt. It's not in your conference and it's basically his home-town school.

Nice for Sheldon that he was able to work out a deal with Polk College's coach (who was also his cousin Lance's coach in juco) that he can go to school, get his assoc. degree and practice with the team but not play in games so that he'll enter Pitt as a soph, which is what he'd be if he sat out a year transferring directly to Pitt.

The only difference is that if he had been allowed to transfer directly to Pitt, he'd be able to practice with the team for a year, like Petteway and Pitchford have with us.
