jimmykc Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 He sounds like he would have been a Balham with knees. By the way, I have been unable to embed anything for the past month. I think it is my antiquated computer. So everyone will just have to imagine Judy Garland singing "Easter Parade" here. Quote
*Deleted Account* Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Leslee smith was told by Larry Brown at SMU that he wasn't good enough to play there. Looks as if Nebraska is looking for warm bodies at this point. A little disappointed in that. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Leslee smith was told by Larry Brown at SMU that he wasn't good enough to play there. Looks as if Nebraska is looking for warm bodies at this point. A little disappointed in that. That's actually a misquote. Another player reported that HE was told by Larry Brown that HE wasn't good enough. That same day, a couple of other SMU players, including Smith, announced they were also leaving the program. (And I think people assumed that Brown told them all the reason he was releasing them was that they weren't good enough to play for Brown. And keep in mind also, he wasn't quoted as saying, "You're not good enough to play here." He said, "You're not good enough to play for ME." Brown's standards are obviously higher than the former coach at SMU.) Quote
Norm Peterson Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Here's the actual quote: "Starting point guard Jeremiah Samarrippas told the school's student newspaper that Brown basically told him that he "wasn't good enough to play for him.'" Badgett Fan Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 FWIW, the other player in the below-quoted 3/30/13 tweet from Vidal Massiah committed to a different Under Armour SEC school today: "2 more #KingNation commitments coming later today @MatthewAtewe41 in 20 mins and @DuuTakeNotice later 2nite. jimmykc Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 That was just to establish the fact that I have discovered a somewhat roundabout way to once more embed. Be happy you were spared Judy Garland yesterday. Quote
