I don't know how many of you know this bit of triva. But Grand Canyon used to be a NAIA school, that played Kearney State for the National Championship in basketball back in the 80's

We still can't make contact.  12 k's through 7 innings.  Have to be able to make contact.  Tonight, we have done enough so far for 6 runs, but striking out a lot with not a ton of power is not a good recipe.

Good question. I think GCU is one of only a few for-profit universities that I'm aware of.

I get that Bolt & Co. want to be aggressive, but in the 8th inn. they run into 2 outs that seemed needless. Oh well. Now, it's 6-2 heading into the 9th inn.

I have been pleasantly surprised by our pitching through the first 4 games.  It's been, for the most part, better than expected.  Kudos to the man in charge.

I liked the approach in the 9th inn., until the crappy bunt. Sheesh. It's 7-2 Big Red going to the bottom of the 9th inn. GBR

Not so mad about the bunt... not a bad idea and would have worked had it not gone straight up.  However, standing there and watching before running to first to end on a DP was bad.
