The NCAA has announced a new women's post season tournament; a 32-team Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament. This new tournament will be a competitor to the independently operated 25-year old WNIT, where schools had to bid on games for the right to host.

If we hadn't been out bid and played our final game last season vs Kansas at PBA instead of Kansas, I believe we could have won it, entitling us to go on to play Columbia for the championship.
