R.I.P. Grant Wahl

Noted sports journalist, soccer aficionado, and the nephew of my old college roomie has passed away at age 48 while covering the World Cup in Qatar. My condolences to the family, especially my old pledge brother who also lost his wife last year.

Grant Wahl was an original [Video] (aol.com)                          Apparently, he had some death threats about wearing a rainbow shirt there. His wife, who is a medical doctor, wants a full autopsy and toxicology done in the U.S.

What a sad deal.  Realllly wished he could have seen the WC 2026 here in the US
