Agree 100%!  To say that this is a travesty is just not taking your rose colored glasses on.  Branham had a fantastic year.  You put their stats next to each other and it's very close.  When things are that close, many times the reward goes to the player on the better team.  It stink for Bryce, but Branham is a worthy choice.

This site ranks players by analytics, including defense. Branham was 20th in the BIG for players with 1,000+ possessions.

Chucky was 43nd and Bryce was 55th. 

Bryce won on ppg, Branham on offensive rating, Chucky on defense.

 

However you feel about Branham's choice, it wasn't a travesty.

The part that bothers me is how Bryce won it 8 weeks versus Branham's 3. Why does the criteria change for weekly compared to the yearly award?
