OT: article on popularity of wvb...

just happen to stumble across this column this morning on vb's popularity on BTN. states it is 3rd, just behind football and men's basketball. vb attracts the youngest viewership.

That follows the national trend that VB has more girls participating vs. BB. Plus when you have 3-4 teams in the AVCA top ten and several B1G teams are among the leaders in attendance it makes perfect since.

I’ve always thought if a girl is over 6 feet tall and can jump, she’s much more likely to play VB over basketball in college.  If you are tall and of average or below average athleticism, you can’t hide it on the VB court, but you sort of can in basketball.
