ShortDust Posted February 1, 2018 Report Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) BC is in OT with V-Tech guess I jinxed it.. they go down on OT. Had a lead and dwindled it away. Edited February 1, 2018 by ShortDust Quote
hskr4life Posted February 1, 2018 Report Posted February 1, 2018 Damn. Looks like VA Tech, Texas, and Missouri will win. Marquette did lose. Not a great night for us... but not a bad night by any means. Quote
HuskerFever Posted February 1, 2018 Report Posted February 1, 2018 Alabama just shot threes and missed them all in the final 2 minutes. Would've been more effective to cut a 5 point deficit had they just drove to the basket. Missouri gets their first win in Tuscaloosa tonight. Quote

ShortDust Posted February 1, 2018 Report Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) Texas has had 3 starters foul out. Tech should be able to handle them in OT. sunk a buzzer beater to beat them. Wow Edited February 1, 2018 by ShortDust Quote
uneblinstu Posted February 1, 2018 Report Posted February 1, 2018 Penn St. isn't that far away from the bubble with more opportunities for good wins that we don't have. hhcmatt 1 Quote
hskr4life Posted February 1, 2018 Report Posted February 1, 2018 I said I would pick this one up for HHCTony today. I have put in bold teams that I think we want to win. Games of Note Creighton @ Villinova-- Creighton is pretty solidly in, but can still tank down the stretch. We'll see how they do vs #1. Wichita State @ Temple-- Wichita State is pretty solidly in. Temple had a nice stretch early in season. SMU @ Tulsa-- SMU is firmly on the bubble. Need them to take an L here. Northwestern @ Wisconsin-- Not any bubble implications here, but I would love for Wisco to pick up some wins since we are 2-0 against them. San Diego @ Gonzaga-- If we could get this to a 1 bid league, that would be nice. Oregon @ California-- Would be huge for Cal to win this one. Oregon on bubble. Western Kentucky @ UTEP-- Who would have guessed that the CUSA could be a 2 bid league. Need a loss here by WKU. San Francisco @ St. Mary's-- See San Diego @ Zaga. Arizona State @ Washington-- Big bubble game here. Washington on bubble. ASU on road. A home loss hurts Washington. BYU @ Loyola Marymount-- Need Loyola here. BYU on bubble. Former Opponents Montana State @ North Dakota-- UND is actually struggling since we played them. Just 2-7 in Big Sky. Marshall @ UTSA-- UTSA is 4-5 in CUSA and 11-11 overall. Jacksonville State @ Eastern Illinois-- EI has really struggled (7-14, 3-7) since game 1 when they almost took our hearts away. hhctony 1 Quote

hskr4life Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Are we sure Wichita State is good? Obviously not Top 25 worthy. Temple has a long ways to go to get on the bubble. WSU may end up a lot lower seed than we thought 2 weeks ago. Quote
royalfan Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 I am pretty sure Wichita is who we wanted there. They are going to the dance. Now Temple could as well. Quote

Temple is 12-10 with losses to La Salle, George Washington, and Tulane. 4-6 and third to last in the conference. Long ways to go. Probably longer than us. If they win out... that would include games @WSU, Houston, UCF, they would just be 20-10, 12-6. Have some good wins and bad losses. So I would say they probably have to win out... maybe 19-11, 11-7. royalfan Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 RPI just scares me a little. If RPI is respected enough that they have an entire new column of these ridiculous tiers which are also based on RPI then it scares me. Quote

I could be entirely wrong, but I can see the committee being like "you've got to have at least one tier win to prove you belong in the tournament." Quote
