KarlHessEatMy.... Posted April 13, 2017 Report Posted April 13, 2017 With the new season upcoming. Was just curious. Is Jordan hooper or kelsey griffin playing this year??? Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted April 14, 2017 Report Posted April 14, 2017 I don't think griffin plays in the WNBA anymore.Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Quote
Fastbreaker Posted April 14, 2017 Report Posted April 14, 2017 I think Jordan is but am pretty sure that Kelsey is a Aussie now an not playing in the WNBA. I may be wrong though. Kelsey got her Australian citizenship and got married and I don't think she is much interested in the US. Noah121 1 Quote
Row6Seat10 Posted April 15, 2017 Report Posted April 15, 2017 Fairly good day yesterday in the WNBA draft for the Big Ten. Nia Coffee of Northwestern went at #5 to San Antonio, Shatori Walker-Kimbrough & Brionna Jones from Maryland went #6 to Washington and #8 to Connecticut respectably, Tori Jankoska from Michigan St. went at #9 to Chicago and Shayla Cooper of Ohio St. goes at #11 also to Connecticut. No other player from the conference was selected. Kelsey Plum from Washington was the overall number one pick. http://www.wnba.com/2017-wnba-draft/ Quote
huskerchode Posted May 9, 2017 Report Posted May 9, 2017 I heard that Hooper was cut from Dallas. Quote
KarlHessEatMy.... Posted May 9, 2017 Author Report Posted May 9, 2017 I was wondering if that was going to happen with Dallas getting 3 first round picks this year that I think were all better than her. Sucks we don't have any Nebraska girls playing in the WNBA right now that we can watch! I do think Hooper could help some team with her 3 point shooting ability!! I think the WNBA should bring another team on board. I think there are starting to be enough good girls to add another team. Quote
arliepro Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Hooper has been claimed off waivers by the Connecticut Sun!Sent from my XT1609 using Tapatalk Quote
KarlHessEatMy.... Posted May 14, 2017 Author Report Posted May 14, 2017 Didn't realize it but Yvonne Turner is playing for the mercury. Haven't heard anything about her in a while Noah121 1 Quote
arliepro Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 Good for her! She came close to making a WNBA roster a few years ago - was in training camp with the San Antonio Stars, I believe.Sent from my XT1609 using Tapatalk Quote
redsteve Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 I don't follow the WNBA as much as I should.....but have Hooper and Turner been playing out of country recently? Quote

Row6Seat10 Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 Jordan Hooper was traded to the Chicago Sky yesterday. http://sky.wnba.com/news/chicago-sky-acquire-hooper-first-round-draft-pick/ Also, Husker alum Kelsey Griffin was named MVP of FIBA Asia Cup. She led Australia to a second place finish. You can read more about her feats in the tournament on articles written by Jeff Griesch at huskers.com. Quote
huskerchode Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 That's the fourth team for Hooper in one season. Quote

I think she was cut from the Sky and might be in Australia playing on the same team as Griffin (who switched to Canberra I think)? Or I could be way off base. Quote

KarlHessEatMy.... Posted June 5, 2018 Author Report Posted June 5, 2018 Dang Mistie Bass even got cut from the WNBA. She was pretty good I thought as a bench player Quote
