NCAA approves voluntary activities for football, wbb...

i could be wrong, but, isn't that for the "vote to change" the rule and does not apply to this years transfers? wrong---still going to need waiver The NCAA Division I Council took a step toward eventually allowing one-time transfers immediate eligibility in basketball, football, baseball and hockey on Wednesday by approving a measure that calls for the development of new transfer legislation. However, any new rules governing what would be a landmark change to NCAA protocol won't go into effect this year, meaning transferring players in those sports will still need waivers if they are going to be eligible in the 2020-21 academic year, according to Stadium's Brett McMurphy. The council's decision to delay implementing a rules change allowing all one-time transfers immediate eligibility was the expected outcome after the NCAA Board of Directors recommended last month against changes to the transfer-waiver process "at this time." The development of the new legislation is expected to be a complicated and time-consuming effort at a time when athletic departments are already stretched thin as the COVID-19 crisis continues. -

https://pressboxonline.com/2020/05/11/maryland-womens-basketball-hc-brendan-frese-undaunted-amid-roster-shuffle/ “I’ve heard from a lot of the WNBA coaches and [general managers] how much that versatility matters,” Frese added. “And with how we built our defense this past year, it was very interchangeable one through five, and offensively that’s where we’re trying to get to as well. Next year I think we’ll have more of a four-guard lineup, just building on the roster we have.”

Issie Bourne's turn: https://spark.adobe.com/page/KYotDlg3KlY05/?fbclid=IwAR1nO8e3eETyoyVft_5mUJxU6Poypt6W_UxOJHyNhjFGb7aTSmaMBnYz_lI “I learned a lot about my own game this season,” Bourne said. “For me, a big thing is that I have to come onto the court with confidence in my abilities. I am pleased with how I improved over the season with the help of my coaches, in particular Coach (Chuck) Love. A big focus I have coming out of my first season is to gain consistency in my outside shooting so I can become more of a perimeter threat.”

goofy or not.....just wanted to post what some people are saying. i've run into a few that would lean towards this persons viewpoint given what the world is going through. totally disagree though.

one thing i will say is the passion for/about the game isn't missing from coach...no matter what side you may fall on. i have watched her on the sidelines from the time she was at USD and now at Nebraska. i think most will agree about that part, anyway. for whatever reason, maybe last years squad just wasn't a good mix. kinda like raising children---sometimes you can scream and holler or talk all you want, but, sometimes it just doesn't soak in. just hope things are on the upswing from here on out. (man, i need this virus thing to be over )

“We felt after much analysis that the women’s basketball NET, which will be determined by who you played, where you played, how efficiently you played and the result of the game, is a more accurate tool and should be used by the committee going forward.” https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-women/article/2020-05-04/womens-basketball-ncaa-evaluation-tool-replace-rpi-team-sorting-tool

geez........thought the word/phrase i wanted to use would have come to me by now. window dressing may be one. recently, minnesota has stuck $$$ into their sports programs that i thought i would never see. Sid has bitched about this for decades. my dad (rip) would be happy, he was a big gopher fan.

like stated earlier, i think her biggest asset will be the 3pt'er. really hoping it works out. need everyone to be eligible next season.
