Suzy Merchant announced guard Moira Joiner will be out for the rest of the season due to concussion issues. i believe she has played in every game and started 5. -

aaaaaaand.....i think it's fair to keep in mind just how tough it is to play 2 sports at this level---and if she would happen to make the decision at some point during her career to concentrate on one sport, we know it's going to be volleyball (i'm pretty sure she has even stated that is her strength). can't remember her name, but, the Arizona recruit from ND who wanted to play both sports decided to concentrate on bb. she did mention she wouldn't count out playing vb again, but, for now she is just playing bb. not trying to be a downer....the possibility will be there. who knows, maybe she ends up playing both through her career. it's going to be interesting and enjoy the ride.

from Alexis Markowski: “I’m just so proud of this team,” Markowski said. “I honestly found myself getting a little emotional in the locker room just because we fought so hard. I just love playing on this team, and they have so much fight in them.”

i see the Huskers have dropped to #12 in the NET ratings. still pretty good. gotta get some wins now.
-
just curious........anyone able to follow BP at all and how she is doing?
-
i believe 3 out of the next 4 are at PBA...i think they go to Illinois. i was wishing for and thought they could get a split with iowa, but now i think it's important to go on a 4 game winning streak. however, you never know how that ball is going to bounce. schedule gets a little difficult again after these next 4 games. i know i get emotional with this team right now, but, i am really excited about the future. they are pretty young and i really believe things are trending up.

proud dad!...think he kinda wanted to jump out of his seat and pump his fist?
-
gotta say...........that was one of the best reverse layups you will ever see!!! morality!!!
-
no doubt iowa should have been called for more fouls.........but, huskers have committed way too many dumb ones.
-
michigan beats maryland by 20...........69-49
-
not sure about that...........way too many stupid fouls!
-
well, never expected that lead to hold up. issie cannot play defense outside of 4-6ft from the basket. she will get beat almost every time.
-
STOP the STUPID fouls!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-

coach williams on the rematch... https://omaha.com/sports/huskers/womens-basketball/slowing-down-caitlin-clark-is-key-in-nebraskas-rematch-with-iowa/article_4976471c-764b-11ec-88bc-6f27394e66c2.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_Omaha_World-Herald_Huskers&fbclid=IwAR1hI8jzE590eSdVHuMrCV_K65QgHtDJma36SzgVn4cO1kujQj4rySRsHpM "A key question mark Sunday will be the availability and effectiveness of Nebraska guard Sam Haiby, who injured her right shoulder in the loss to the Hoosier. Haiby has played some of her best games against Iowa. If she’s limited, NU will ask more from reserve guards Allison Weidner, MiCole Cayton, Ruby Porter and Kendall Moriarty. Among backups, Weidner has proven plucky at the hoop while Cayton is the best on-ball defender."

Drake win doesn't appear to help the huskers much. Drake is sitting 9th out of 10 in the MVC. they will be 1-5 in the conference (getting smoked by sw missouri as i post) i did watch a couple of their early season games before they played the huskers and looked pretty good. however, they have been struggling lately.
