I could see situations with Kavas playing the 5 to pull the opposing center out of the lane, making room for our big wings to take it to the rim. This team definitely has a lot of potential options.

I think by game 10 we will have a feel for what we have. It will take some time for everyone’s roles to be hammered out. We have a good schedule for this type of season so I don’t think our record will be adversely affected during the feeling out process. It will be fun to see the growth of the team this year.

His game still reminds me of Niang. Scores at all levels, good passing skills. Maybe a bit undersized at PF depending on his measurements. I’ll take it up a level. He’s our Doug McDermott. Under recruited, a bit undersized, scores from everywhere. We won’t be able to keep him off the court. Kevin is going to do it to them until he is a two time AA. I have seen zero film showing he is not comfortable shooting from 28 feet so I will assume it is in his tool box until proven otherwise. I was a little torn myself. That only lasted a couple days! the coaches have done an amazing job restocking the roster. I feel like our relent level would definitely be better than last season if Roby were to return. Same neighborhood if he leaves, but probably deeper overall. Phase 2 is to see what the coaches can do with this collection of talent they have assembled. Coaching and chemistry....I think this is where Fred excels. It’s going to be tough waiting to see the finished product. Not to wish the summer away but I can not wait for the fall!

Step 1 of the OP complete. Curious if we still are after Ntwambe. It will be interesting to see what we do with the final 1-2 spots.

I just looked at Huskers.com and with this (presumed) commit we still have 2-3 spots open. If Roby leaves Thor is literally the only guy who scored a point returning from last season. Amazing how quickly Fred has flipped the roster....not one reach yet IMO.

Hopefully this leak is accurate. If it is, and he is truly 6’9” and 240 lbs, he’ll definitely have a chance to earn minutes immediately. Ivan Drago and Kevin would be a nice way to finish this class off.

I took a look at a TCU board (sorry, don’t know how to link in a smart phone), and technically they are full. However, they have three guys testing the waters but didn’t get invited to any combines. The thought over there is if their coaches are recruiting this hard, at least 1-2 of those guys aren’t coming back period.
