  1. Does Trey Dickerson really want to play for Fran? Trey, it's not too late to cancel your visit there and come to Lincoln this weekend.
  2. He's definitely a project. We need someone who can come in and play right away.
  3. I can't really find any information about this kid. Probably not good when his only Youtube videos are him singing Justin Bieber songs.
  4. so, how long until the Hoosiers get rid of Crean and throw the bank at Brad Stevens?
  5. Hell No, you don't start Peltz for one of the biggest games in program history. I remember Doc starting Ben Nelson on senior night against a bad Colorado team, and we got our butts kicked. Besides, Peltz was only here for 2 years, it's not like he gave 4-5 years to the program.
  6. Do we really have room for both Pinder and Morrow next year? They seem like too similar of players - athletic small-forward types. It seems like we are pretty set at that position already, especially if we land Deng this year. If we can land Morrow, I think I'd let Pinder go elsewhere. We need to add a true post player and an outside shooter (I like Andrew Fleming - haven't heard much about him lately). If we don't land Dickerson or Smith this year, we may also need a point guard.
  7. So . . . he did not commit on his visit to Arizona. And he still needs a few days to decide? Would love to know what that's all about? Well technically, he doesn't have a spot at Arizona until some of their players declare for the NBA. So we're still going to recruit him until then. But it's pretty much a formality.
  8. Doc also lets us down, as Iowa State loses to Baylor
  9. I see that Creighton is sucking again tonight. Thanks Jays.
  10. I agree. Looking at the film, I think Tarin would be a very good backup PG at this level, but I don't think he'll ever be the stud PG that we need. If you look at Dickerson's film in comparison, he's just so much quicker....he looks like a Big Ten point guard.
  11. He's already been accepted into Harvard, Princeton, and Penn. Sounds like a very impressive kid.
  12. Looks like a solid player. He's the PG for the white team (#10)
  13. With Miles visiting Smith on Thursday, it's not looking good for landing Trey
  14. http://sports.omaha.com/2014/03/03/huskers-eye-new-jersey-point-guard/#.UxTbWBaSNUR
  15. He doesn't look like a one-and-done NBA prospect to me. But I'd still take him.
  16. Wisconsin is 5th in RPI right now. If we beat them, I have to believe we will be in no matter what.
  17. I really think that if we beat Wisconsin, we're in. The Big Ten is the 2nd best conference in the nation. Winning 10 conference games, 3 of which came against the Top 4 teams, has to be enough. Furthermore, beating Wisconsin would have to put us in ahead of Minnesota, who according to most experts are still in ahead of us right now. But if we beat Wisconsin, there is just no possible way you could put the Gophers in ahead of us.
  18. Iowa is 4th in the entire nation in scoring offense. We are 284th. That alone is probably enough to make him favor Iowa. They did also beat us head-to-head and are ranked in the Top 25 while we are not. McCaffery is also a proven winner, he may not be as funny as Miles but the guy can coach. We do have the facilities, and hopefully they will blow him away, but Iowa has a lot going for them right now as well.
  19. I'd be surprised if Hammond plays much next year. He doesn't play against good competition now and he looks pretty skinny to me. He'll need time to develop and adjust to Big Ten Basketball. Then there's this:
  20. Well crap, that win pretty much clinches a tourney bid for Okie State. Creighton and KU both let us down today.
  21. Oklahoma St leads KU by 2 with 3 minutes left.....Come on Jayhawks!
  22. Hopefully Fuller is that shooter. And hopefully Arizona decides they don't want Ristic so that he can be that post player.
  23. I'm not sure if Minnesota winning was good for us or not.....but a bunch of other bubble teams have lost tonight - Clemson, Dayton, and St. John's - and looks like Mizzou is about to go down as well.
