  1. They do. But most don't lose like we lose. And it's safe to say we were going to struggle to fill Horne and Fuller's spots with quality players. It's very easy to say that we are going to have a near impossible time breaking even at this point in replacing Jacobson and Morrow.
  2. 1. College coaches feeding kids lines of shit when recruiting them 2. Societal norm these days 3. Cable/internet exposure for lesser known (I.e. Mid-majors) schools 4. NCAA rules with grad transfers
  3. Can't fire Miles for risk of mass defections!
  4. Probably not...but at least he'd be in control of the decision which may not be the case next year.
  5. Yes...football games are scheduled long in advance. We know probably 6-7 games that we will have this upcoming year...but most of the patsies are scheduled the year of.
  6. Yes We host them this coming season
  7. Of course...the ACC/Big 10 challenge is mandatory, the Creighton game is an annual thing and the tourney out West was done a couple years in advance. A lot of the other games are set up no more than a year in advance....maybe 2. If memory serves...the KU contract was just finalized, or at least, publicized in the offseason.
  8. My guess is he probably would've delayed the KU series a year. The other games....were mandatory or scheduled long in advance
  9. Yep. Also have to think Miles has a pulse on the recruiting side of things and the existing players too. If he's expecting another transfer or two or for us to miss on the bigger fish recruiting wise....even he may think the writing is on the wall.
  10. Don't know if I can go to the dance standard yet...but I agree with you in that we are a different team with White and likely are a NIT team at worst. Of course, that being said, you play the games with the players you have, not who you want to/think you will have.
  11. Is it that they don't want too...or do they just weigh the other factors more heavily than they do hope?
  12. I love some of the individual pieces on next year's team. I still struggle seeing it be a complete team. I still struggle seeing our defense improve. I still struggle with the trend that we are seeing guys who have been major factors leave. I struggle seeing the team gel for the entire year. I hope I'm wrong. And I hope we don't lose anyone else. But something tells me we are just delaying the inevitable here.
  13. Think the meltdown is/already has been occurring
  14. I think that moving on from Miles would've been the best decision, especially now in light of the transfers after the season. Him expressing interest in the NM job is the last reason why I wouldn't want him coaching here next year. He's just looking for an out. I just hope it happens soon so we can try to recover from it yet this cycle.
  15. The guy who has been known to live in the weight room and was the strongest on the team?
  16. Wont disagree that a change restarts the cycle of rebuilding the difference between us is you still have hope for next year where as I see it as a foregone conclusion and only delaying that cycle I hope there are no more transfers. Of course, that was said last year in the spring and this year after Horne too.
  17. Dont believe this will go down or any validity to it Would probably be the best possible outcome for everyone though if it did.
  18. I'm not ready to crucify Eichorst yet. I will say the games he plays with support and comments aren't beneficial. No comment while speculation is circling and less than 5 minutes after the season ends in embarrassing fashion you issue a tweet of support. You didn't make the decision to keep Miles at that point.....why let things run rampant. I get you don't want to comment on speculation, but in this day and age with social media and the way information travels and goes viral....you need to control the message.
  19. Sadly...I feel this will end up correct.
  20. I'd agree we would have had a better record. Doesn't excuse the record we had though.
  21. Maybe because it's fair to point out that TOs hires haven't exactly set the world on fire You can perceive it as being shoved in your face. It can also be perceived as a valid talking point. It it also gets brought up because there is clear animosity directed towards SE when he wasn't the guy who hired the guy to put us in this situation
  22. It's undeniable. We have to be able to discern TO the football coach from TO the AD. They are not one in the same. One deserves reverence. The other is very fair to question
  23. Why? Because the sign he is leaving when he was looked too as a bright spot for our future outweighs his flaws in my opinion we don't get it both ways. Don't get to make excuses for the program/Miles because morrow was hurt and the future is bright only to throw him under the bus in a span of hours (not you specifically but general line of thought) the guy guy was a tweener. He wasn't a superstar. He had flaws. That being said, he also had some damn five attributes and brought things that no one else on the roster did. We aren't better off without him
  24. Didn't think he would start either. Doesn't mean there aren't red flags or issues with the departure
