Seems like Miles has excelled in landing freshman talent to get a foothold on the future while using transfer talent to plug holes/succeed now. The plan is there anyway. His downfall, of course, was having his early recruits leave/flop out and swinging and missing on his first few bigs. Looks like he's stayed the course with his plan and hopefully it pays off. Keep this core talent together and we may have something here.

Who has the most in the last 2 years combined? Should give an indication as to which team's young core nucleus has them positioned to succeed in the B1G over the next few seasons.

Build the starting lineup/minute distribution for 2016

Agree here. I said this before we even landed him but initially Jordy may see just spot minutes. Miles will be able to insert him to spell Jacobsen (or grad transfer big yet to be picked up), to use fouls or when we need a rebounding boost. He may work his way up to 15 minutes a game. Obviously the more the better because it gets other guys to their natural positions but Miles is going to need to play small ball most of the time yet again only he'll have Jordy at his disposal. I foresee a lot of fans getting restless/criticizing Miles for finally having a big but not playing him. Jordy is an instant body of correct size, a better option than Hammond coming in, but he's going to need time to develop and get stronger like any freshman big. -

The thing I like about all 3 of your lineups is that you have Morrow solidified at the 4. Miles certainly has options but a healthy Morrow will absolutely eat his man alive on the offensive glass with a viable 5 (Jordy) on the floor at the same time. -

I think your NCAA tourney game 1 lineup would definitely win that tournament game regardless of matchup. So all we have to do is make the tournament and we can polish off some bad history. -

I think the thing that's going to be very overlooked is that Tshimangas presence alone gives a healthy Morrow the green light to be an instant 10 and 10 guy in a sidekick roll should Miles play the beefier lineup. It all depends on matchups/styles but that's the great thing. We can go the thumper route with Jordy/Morrow or go the stretch route and play Jacobson at the 4. -
AW-III IS BACK FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON (SOMEWHERE)
ajb5856 replied to AuroranHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Sounds, great. Thanks. AWIII comes back and the pieces are lining up. -
It's safe to say that Nebrasketball recruiting efforts have been elevated greatly during the Tim Miles era. That cannot be denied. Time to see some on court success as a result.

AW-III IS BACK FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON (SOMEWHERE)

Question. Not big into the NBA and the draft so need a ruling here by an expert. So we've all heard that AWIII submitted his name without hiring an agent so he can pull his name out of the draft by the May 25th deadline and return to Nebraska. But does pulling out of the draft by itself guarantee that he's coming back? I think it's a foregone conclusion that AWIII is not being drafted this year. It seems evident that the only way he could work his way into the league is by garnering the attention of a team as a shooting specialist. And this would be an undrafted free agent type deal, correct? If you pull your name out of the draft can you still come on board with a team and go through their camps to work your way onto the team like TP tried to do last year? Or are you only eligible if you're on the list? Just trying to gauge if May 25 is truly the final day or if AWIII has more time to make his decision. -
Not to put a damper on the party or anything, oops too late, but what are the odds transcripts clear and enrollment goes okay? Heard he may have a couple classes to take care of during summer so this isn't looking like a typical incoming freshman who could enroll right away and get here for off season conditioning. Looking like an August enrollee, if everything goes okay, which would obviously put a damper on the 'starting from day 1/B1G ready expectations'. BUT WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!!

Well, yeah, he chose to come to Nebraska.

At least we'll know who's fault it is when the real Jordy thread stops on the 49th page.

Mee twoCarry on... Don't you guys think that he really needed this UNLV visit so he had 3 teams 'involved' to keep the suspense for his school assembly announcement? Wouldn't have been much of an assembly if only 2 schools were 'in the running'. NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Very interesting article here.

Can coaches go? Miles gonna pull a Harbaugh and camp out in Tshimangas driveway Sunday and wait for him to get home from Vegas? Maybe have a sleepover at his house then ride with him to the assembly Monday morning?

UNLV itself isn't the surprise as much as the path to get there. Sure there is a connection to a guy from the east who's scouted him before but they wouldn't be giving this guy a favor if Okie St hadn't pulled a dude from Europe. While I get things develop we're talking about a lot of zigging and zagging to ensure that Jordy has 3 caps to choose from during his selection video. Exactly. That's the way I see it. If not just a free trip/favor it keeps the suspense up for when he finally does decide. I'm fine with that. This is his recruiting process and so he can do that if he wants but to us fans it does seem like zigging and zagging. Makes it hard to differentiate a genuine kid from an attention seeking kid who gets all the labels of one having a handler looking for a payday.
