Considering how lively this season was, it's hard to believe how quickly it passed. I sincerely hope each one of us is able to appreciate it for the joy we got out of it and continue to support the team to build some continuity for next season. Thank you to everyone who participated in HHCC this season. It's been a fun one! I personally started to drop quite a few spots in the final couple of weeks, but at least I still have bragging rights over Ken Pomeroy! Just because the season is over it doesn't mean you can't stop by to say 'hi' from time to time. Until next season! Week 19 includes: Game #33 neut. Here's another way to look at it. Only look at the performance of the Top 4 teams of all of the power conferences (by highest seeds). Here's what we get: 1. Big 12: 6-1 (86%) 2. Big Ten: 6-2 (75%) 3. ACC: 5-2 (71%) 4. SEC: 5-3 (63%) 5. Big East: 4-3 (57%) 6. Pac-12: 0-3 (0%)

What to do with Miles contract?

Are you sure he wasn't singing this? -
If UMBC wins this game, who would've thought that the top left bracket Sweet Sixteen teams would be: SEC, Missouri Valley, Mountain West, and America East?
-
THIS TOURNAMENT IS MADNESS!
-
Remember when we played Clemson last year and were pretty evenly matched? My, how far Clemson has come in just one season.
-
Not what you were asking, but this stat came up during the Auburn/Clemson game: "Fourth time in tournament history that a #11 seed has made it to the Sweet 16." (Loyola-Chicago and Syracuse this year are included)

Houston had about 5 different chances to close out the game against Michigan, but somehow Michigan found a way to nail an ugly 3-point buzzer beater shot to win the game.

This is probably one of the more amicable departures for us. -
I'd like to think we were the reason for UMBC's unprecedented achievement against UVA last night. Because of us, they were able to build their program and get to the motivation to make history. You're welcome. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=3637227&DB_OEM_ID=100

I blame Rasmussen for seeding #1 Virginia/#16 UMBC and #8 Creighton/#9 Kansas State. He obviously used his powers to give Creighton their best opportunity to get to the Sweet Sixteen. Yet his own team failed him.

Tyronn Lue? -
A nice little jab at Wichita State from their former Missouri Valley Conference. And, I suppose a nice little jab to Creighton a little later in the day.

It's also a computer problem too (which is devloped by humans nonetheless). If you base it off of RPI, then you might put a higher valued team in than another, but that's only because their opponent's opponents played better in that given year. So even that doesn't tell you who the best teams are.
-
A direct quote from the selection committee when they put Oklahoma and Arizona State in the field.

Not great company to surround yourself around...
