  1. And we're finally down to two teams. Oregon State lost their first game but found their way into the finals. Something that has only been done 3 other times. And Arkansas, who has a strong offense that was able to overcome the #1 team to find it's way to the finals. Should be a fun one on Monday!
  2. And down goes the #1 team in the country. We've got extra baseball tomorrow with Oregon State and Mississippi State. Will it be an SEC finals or will Oregon State pull off the win to get to the finals?
  3. Eight teams came into Omaha and now only four remain: 3 appearances in 5 years for Texas Tech? If only we could get to that level at some point.
  4. Before this tournament started, I thought it would be a Florida/Oregon State type of tournament. Little did I know both of them would lose their first game but still look more than alive still.
  5. Is Conley's going to be up for naming rights when the Bank is up for bid?
  6. And then there were five...
  7. Either that, or you buy out the naming rights and call it the "Shim Shams Arena" and write it in the contract that they get first rights to all halftime entertainment, including all concerts and events.
  8. Razorbacks take the 2nd win and force another Florida/Texas Tech matchup:
  9. Total clickbait, but now that you're here they just announced that the CLink will now be renamed as the "CHI Health Center Omaha." I guess for $23.6M you can call it whatever you want. https://www.omaha.com/livewellnebraska/health/so-long-centurylink-center-omaha-arena-to-be-renamed-in/article_6dd7ef51-d7c1-5e39-a284-cf3ca50f7deb.html I don't know about you, but I'd rather go to the bank instead of the hospital. It's time to lock things down on home court next season and beat these ailing Bluejays.
  10. And then there were six.
  11. Mississippi State has two major innings with a grand slam and a 3 RBI double bith from Jordan Westburg. 4 AB, 2R, 3H, 7 RBI. Just wow. We're set up for another great matchup in the elimination game between North Carolina and Oregon State!
  12. And then there were seven.
  13. I wouldn't pretend to be an expert, but I suppose that even the prospect of getting into the NBA has much more value to some people than a stable career elsewhere. Then again, maybe there's no faux pas in these situations if these leagues see it as a way to get free training out of a player?
  14. Remember when the CWS moved to TD Ameritrade and it was cursed with bad storms for the first 2-3 years? Maybe it's back for revenge again this year. Looks like more rain for tomorrow's games as well.
  15. My understanding is that he's turning down a deal in hopes to get a better deal in Euroleague. In the meantime, during the offseason, he's going to play in the Summer League.
  16. We now have our four teams facing elimination. And it's a surprising group of four at that: Monday 1 pm CDT: (3) Oregon State vs. Washington Tuesday 1 pm CDT: (13) Texas vs. (1) Florida
  17. And that might be the solution. If the use of redshirts are becoming less and less popular, maybe it's time to redefine what a redshirt is.
  18. The question will be: How many games of bball can you play in and redshirt? Real/theoretical question...how many players actually redshirt anymore? It just doesn't seem as common anymore.
  19. It was also a very different time between the NCAA and NBA during those years. The invites and emphasis on G-League has really exploded over the past 5 or so years.
  20. I'm just going to put this here: https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/ncaa-shakes-up-college-football-offseason-with-two-major-rule/article_10c80ff2-0784-5f87-ac3f-ff99ab24f431.html "Starting this season, Division I football players can now participate in up to four games in a season without losing a year of eligibility, and all college athletes will no longer need permission from their coach or school to transfer and receive financial aid from another school, the NCAA Division I Council announced."
