Quite a bad year to be a #2 seed. Vandy, Alabama, and Wake Forest all 2-and-out eliminated teams. #1 Arizona losing to Grand Canyon and then later shut out by Dallas Baptist (who always seems to make a good run in the playoffs).

I was just hoping you knew something the rest of us didn't. That would've opened up my afternoon for a bit!

That's the fallacy of RPI. You can lose, a lot, but as long as you play good teams you can still prop up your RPI. There are only 3 teams with a worse conference record than 13-17 in the SEC. And having neither #1 regular season champion or the #1 tournament team host a regional should be telling for us. It will be good to have Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington join us to prop up the conference a bit.

It's up for argument whether Florida should even be in the tournament. Let's show them they don't belong today.
