1. No, they didn't. He took several steps before the whistle blew, he was already in the lane. Both were on their way up and it looked to me like Trey tried to pull back. He probably should have gotten an F1 for the play, but the F2 was excessive, I think. 2. But if they called the foul on the trip, then sure, that makes sense it wasn't a travel.

Oh, gosh, super sad... RIP DT.

Nah, your skepticism was MORE than warranted...

Yeah, I'd expect any removals would be announced by the end of next week. The Final Four is where a lot of coaching interviews take place, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of that movement to happen shortly after that.

I heard someone on the radio, I think..., recently, can't remember where, that Loesner is a pretty solid recruiter, too. I think Gates had that rep, too, but haven't really been allowed to since Fred came in until recently, at least when it comes to Loesner. Having some late success, and considering we'll still be playing in the Big Ten and will pay well, there will still be plenty of interest in openings here. I think Fred's reputation still carries quite a bit of weight in basketball circles.

Matt's not he only good recruiter in the world

Turns out it was this season after all...

"coaching responsibilities" is a fairly nebulous term. There are a lot of ways he can still be involved in the defensive game plan with out having practice and gameday responsibilities.

What happened yesterday and why
uneblinstu replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
That's ok. You're not usually going to get answers or fixes to all the issues at once. There are a few pieces in the locke room that I think need to move on that will help in that area. So will experience and growth from some of the young players. Some of it is immaturity, some of it is discipline, some of it is selfishness. I hope we'll see those kinds of things get fixed, too, as time goes on. For now, I'll take the good 36-38 minutes of effort and build off of that. -
What happened yesterday and why

What yesterday showed me is that they have the ability to defend, run an offense and rebound for nearly 40 minutes. No, they won't be able to shoot that well most nights. Those other things should be portable, though. That's the next step. Do those things regardless of whether or not the shots fall. If they do, they'll be in games that haven't been in because they couldn't keep their mental wits about them with the shots didn't fall or just simply had a bad possession. -
That may or may not be true, but all parts of the program, including Matt's recruiting of a mismatched roster, are up for scrutiny under this new plan. The new plan, I think, needs to include a roster of coaches that all recruit and all coach. Another big part of the plan, IMO, needs to be to figure out how to sustain what we saw vs. Penn State. That was the blueprint for success. If Fred and Trev sat down and came up with a plan to put the pieces back together, I don't see that as cutting Fred's legs out from under him, at least not in the same way Moos did to Miles. Trev can give every resource to Fred to get the job done, while still saying you need to make some significant changes. That's a lot different than what happened to Tim.
