Because football rules the NCAA and college sports in general. The other sports are just along for the ride. Why do you think USC and UCLA left the PAC12 for the Big10? It sure as hell wasn't for basketball.

I think he remembers the second half of the Big 10 tournament semi-final game. As Mike Tyson said, everyone has a plan until they get hit in the nose.

I remember the Big 8/12 Phillips 66 game of the week on Saturday afternoons. Then during the conference season there was always a doubleheader. Then following the BB games there was always some syndicated Sci-fi show such as The Outer Limits!

There was an article on Yahoo Sports this morning that discussed this situation and that article basically stated that Wyoming and Utah State would not be considered due to their small market stature. It went on to say if the PAC-12 added any more MWC programs they would take the Nevada schools and possibly the Air Force. You may ultimately be correct, I was just going by this Yahoo Sports article.

Having grown up 1.5 miles from the Wyoming border and lived in Cheyenne for about 5 years during the 1980s, I feel bad for the University of Wyoming. Granted their football stadium only seats about 30,000 and most games it's only about 2/3 full, but they do deserve a better fate than this. They were charter members of the old Western Athletic Conference and the MWC, and now they're kicked to the curb with a very uncertain future (athletically speaking). Doesn't seem right.
