2014 SG Jordan Cornish -> UNLV-> Tulane

gotta imagine giving Dwight Smith a call, and another grad transfer rather than simply giving it to a walk on -
Wanted: NY Knicks head coach Qualifications: Has played for Phil Jackson secondary qualifications: May lose best player in the off season, must be able to deal with immediate frustration and not cry. Must be able to understand that the Amare Stoudemire that is currently on your team is merely the awkward deep voiced cousin of that Phoenix Amare Stoudemire. Tyson Chandler will grow a gross beard throughout the season...deal with it. JR Smith will try to make you mad...dont give in this is what the court jester wants

Not until someone else transfers out....which is fairly possible with these guys. Guys have to wear name tags the first week of practice at UNLV Player Personal Questionnaire 2014-15 UNLV Men's Basketball 1. Did you play on last years team? a. Did you enjoy this experience 2. When will you be transferring else where 3. For new recruits only: Do you estimate you will play for more than 2.5 years for UNLV -
Although, at one point, umm, from about the beginning of the game of basketball until about, ooohhh, ten years ago; talent, athletism and skill were the important components of a basketball player, including the center. im not saying a center shouldn't have those components, but the way the rule is defined, it dosnt allow for alot of contact in the post defensively, im not saying that it needs to be like the 80s were it was free reign to just clothesline people but being able to have a little bit of contact in the post would be nice.

Almost everyone has this reaction...that's why it's so important to simply get guys to visit im wondering if miles used some of the guys from the football team, or if there even on campus, i think there is like 5 or 6 from NOLA right?" -
Can't you do that in Nebraska too? Maybe I'm wrong no, that distributing to minors, or negligence...we tried using that excuse in high school...it never worked...one party got busted the kids parents got a count of DTM for every kid there, plus there own children, so like 80 counts or something So, were you at that graduation party in Gretna for Rod Kush's kid? nah, heard about that one tho, no this was in papillion the exact number could be off, but i do remember the wrestling coach'(who was also the history) found out the next morning from other students that his son was involved and hadn't told him, and came to our homeroom class an pulled him out of class by his ear (hilarious) the next morning, and there were at least 30-40 that i know of in my class, as well as underclassmen

my thoughts exactly, im not sure where UNLV ranks educationally but we all now were UNL ranks educationally, and if he has read any of the Forbes business reports lately, he would know that Omaha ranks among the top of the packs for young college graduates to find a career, and a strong one at that, and the burbs around Omaha are some of the best to raise a family. needless to say ik i feel that Nebraska has the best package to offer him, but ultimately its up to him to make those decisions. besides he cant get good catfish and other southern eats in Vegas, like he can here. I seen that pick of crawfish, we got plenty of Nawlins boys on the football team so he wont be lonley. -
In between the possible signing of Petteway and Petteway actually signing, someone posted a semi-random youtube video meant to convey a thought. There was a 11 post reply about whether or not people post too many random music youtube videos. OK, gotcha. I guess I didn't observe that and my semi-sarcastic response was actually apropos totally by accident. Now that we have that out of the way can we get you on the record for Do we want Pinder? Yes[ ] No [ ] Other [ ] Do we post too many random youtube videos? Yes[ ] No [ ] Other [ ] YES..always want athletic fowards Other..im MEH about it, dosnt bother me either way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1dnqKGuezo

So what you are saying is that in 15, 16, and 17 we should see the results of 3 and 4 year relationships? So if we get in early on a guy and scout him well and he ends up developing into a top 50 player we should have a leg up, right? yes, now dont go quote me on saying we gonna get all these guys, but ill trust Miles charisma, recruiting skill, and our facilities to win a few battles soon. We will always lose out on more top 50, 100 guys than we will ever sign, its a matter of getting one or two a recruiting cycle, and finishing out the cycle with quality players, that mesh with the top tier players skill sets.

I will be the first to admit I don't know anything about recruiting. Will you teach me? I have said that I expected to be better off recruiting by now and have had people tell me I just don't get it. I am extremely pleased with Miles but I thought after the initial recruiting hype that we would start to hear some more and bigger "booms!" ill attempt to, it takes multiple years to get in on basketball recruits, and multiple year to build relationships with the true top 150 player, your not going to come in and recruit a top 150 player out of the blue his senior year or even junior year your already to late, Miles' first class that he will have built these necessary relationships with will be in 2015 and beyond. No matter how good we were this past season, its not going to change the minds of 2014 recruits we need to prove over multiple years were the real deal not just a flash, remember we are recruiting against bluebloods for these top recruits to nail these top recruits we almost have to pitch a perfect game, and still hope for a few things to go right, the allure of duke, kansas, texas, kentucky, uconn, arizona,florida, unc, and others will always be greater than ours, we just have to strike and find one kid who dosnt care about all their traditions, and media hype those kids are hard to find...i recruiting strategy for this year is just fine, add to what we have, go after a kid or two or decommits hope they come to us, get a grad transfer, and put all the chips in 2015, 2016 and beyond.

How good is Cornish Kamdy? I know you said he needs work on his shot. Will he contribute next year? He's a better overall player than Hawkins. He has things to work on but would have time to improve. He has the tools to be a solid player. I dont see him being a major contributor for a couple seasons. He would be a good 7th-8th man next year. he reminds a lot in some of his film of Jordan McRae from Tennesee A lesser talented version, at the same point in their lives, but I see some similarities. so not necceassarily a poor man's Jordan McRae, but defintly not a Homeless Man's Jordan McRae (phrase my father would always use to describe players) what would the in between be of poor and homeless? -

Maybe they aren't, but their families are. Believe what you want. Michael Beasley, from the East coast, must have just fallen in love with Manhattan, Kansas. Great place. Oh wait, no he didn't. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/7156617/michael-beasley-alleges-improper-benefits-kansas-state-wildcats-lawsuit-ex-agent Most of the top 100 players receive this treatment, in some shape or form. It's reality. I'm not naive enough to think that NU isn't trying to play the game, too. I don't know that we are (proof certainly is not in the pudding) but in reality if we want to compete with the big boys, we probably need to. ive tried finding a clip of neon saying that aint my car..or ricky dad talking about the tractor for like 3 weeks, whenever the subject of players getting paid....i think i just need to start a kickstarter for sequels to both Blue Chips and The Air Up There... -
Firstly, the worst that could be said about Doc was exactly what you've said in defense of Bill Callahan. Anyone who knows what was going on inside that program knows that you cannot fault Doc's effort. Secondly, SOB, are you really trying to suggest that you have to have played the game at a high level in order to be a competent coach at a high level? How quickly do you want to retract that comment? Firstly I disagree. Secondly a high percentage of good coaches have at least played the game beyond high school. look it up if you like. are there exceptions? sure, but as a rule of thumb what I said is true. here is your list...some of the preeminent coaches in the game today. (creen is a good coach, and so is martin) http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/8011917/some-top-coaches-prove-play-high-level-coach-one-men-college-basketball

Proud day for this alumni, we are struggling, but we have great facitiles and a strong alumni base, we just rebuilt the oak bowl (our football stadium), the awac where the basketball team plays is new within 5 years, and has a 2 year old weight room facility.He'll have a low tuition, staff and admissions, that work with low gpa, and test scores to get into college, and great area. He'll have some recruting advantages...GO CATShttps://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201778634170451&set=a.1006108875874.2000981.1319460075&type=1&theater
