not that this is a big deal, cuz the story has been up for weeks now. Dont you think it rather odd that the whole premise of the story was to tout the attendance record that was set this year but the cover photo has virtually NO ONE standing outside the arena? Why use this photo? Was it a pretty sunset? Maybe. Why not a photo of the place full of people, waiting for opening day, or the final home game of the season? Tie the photo to the article.

I wonder how the bench would have handled the possibility that Menke missed the shot, after they were up on their feet even before the ball left his hands? Good for Menke !

There were comments here about the officiating. So what is the chance that the game was officiated differently due to the national TV exposure? Allow a faster pace and keep the TV viewers happy? Maybe the refs were told to get the game completed in a certain time frame cuz of later programming ? I know these are some pretty lame ideas but what the heck. Loosen things up and let the clock run faster?

Ok, I'll add my 2 cents !! I'm sitting here in the high desert of Boulder Colorado, watching the snow and pretending to search job boards for a decent job, and watching the clock for game start time. Dimes, I went to school with a guy that looked EXACTLY like Alfred E Neuman. I actually thought that he was the guy they modeled the magazine character after......scary stuff.

No doubt you guys saw this on Huskers.com and maybe the Husker Rivals site but Shields got the National Player of the Week honors, too.

Can you guys give a score once in a while? I am not listening to Huskers.com right now and having a score would be great!

So, 159 points scored in 25 minutes.....I can see this happening for sure !! -6.36 points per minute ( no problemo ) -a 3 pointer every 25 seconds ( no problemo ) -OR a 2 pointer every 18 seconds ( no problemo ) -no funny comments from the coach to distract the players..... -maybe just have each team stand under their own basket and trade off dunking the ball among teammates, with no thoughts of defense. -only allow full court passes, baseline to baseline -keep the refs holed up in the locker room eating Runzas Ok, so its early for me and the ol' brain isnt working quite yet......

Thanks for the greeting, Cip. I've been hanging around here a long time but dont post at all, obviously. Pretty hard to match wits about MBB with the likes of the regulars on this board. BUT I absolutely appreciate the info and knowledge that is shared here. I check in 4-6 times a day at minimum. I wish I was back in Lincoln to see this coming year unfold for Nebrasketball. It should be a good ride.

Pretty sure that New Zealand is across the Intl date line, so 7-13-13 is good even tho we sit on 7-12-13 right now.
