I agree with this. Passing, turnovers, live or die by the 3, game management, lack of recruiting expertise (or effort), player development, roster management, etc., are ongoing issues. Either this staff finds another gear, or we have peaked. Should Trev be looking for another HC?

Has Jaz decided not to return?
-
Radio mentioning anything about Markowski? She took a fall and looked in pain. Hasn't been in the game since.
-
Coley must really be in the dog house. Or, injured maybe? She hasn't seen the court in 3+ halves.
-
Catch a breath? Compose themselves? I agree, having doubts Coach would have effective suggestions.

Once again, didn't take a single time out (I don't think). At the least, we could have prevented the 10 second turnover.

Through my eyes, Alex M is our main stud. She has been giving tremendous effort. Hopefully, as the season progresses, MM will provide more relief and assistance. This Purdue game, I was reminded, Maggie is very young, and does not have a lot of bball practice under her belt. Potential? You bet. The sky is the limit.

Agree. Passing, leading to turnovers, is concerning. Have to admit, we are better now, than some of the Whitish years. Baby steps? Another thought. The game looked sloppy. How much did the officials have to do with that? They were so inconsistent on how the game was called. For a time, you could clobber someone, and no whistle. Then other times, breathe on someone, and a foul was called. (Not to mention, the many calls they flat out got wrong). I was impressed on how well our ladies kept their composure. The 4th quarter was a gem.

Is Coley dressed? Nevermind, I see her on the bench. Just no minutes the first half.

I noticed in todays LJS, the OSU coached mentioned not pressing as much as normal. He said, they have been riding the kids hard lately, and wanted to rest their legs in this game. (something like that) Not sure if he's being honest or not. Seemed to me, they were getting after it.

I only looked at the last 5 games, but Kendall Coley has had the fewest minutes played, in each of them. Not sure you'll find many minutes there, to give to Maggie. My guess, when MM has a better grasp of the system, her assignments, her minutes will increase.
-
Stat line might look average for Markowski, but I thought she fought her fanny off today. Tremendous effort.
-
For the 3rd ranked team in the nation, they sure do whine a lot (coaches included).
-
Coley had some nice minutes on the defensive end.
-
Looks like the top 6 teams in the B1G are clearly better than the rest. We might be competing for 7th (and I like our chances).
-
Coley hasn't played much lately. Is this just a result of Coach giving minutes to the starters? Or, is something else going on? She seemed to play well, the few minutes she was on the court recently.

Not sure "up and moving" translates to walking around. I don't know, but my guess, crutches were involved.
-
Also saw this on another site - "Allison Weidner’s ACL surgery went very well on Tuesday. She was up and moving at Nebraska’s shoot around on Wednesday."
-
Agree. But, not sure we got the short end of the stick. They seemed to stink it up, across the board. Where do these B1G officials come from? On-line license?
-
Almost as many points in the first half, as all last game. Up 13 at half. Is it enough?

I can't think of a reason to ever have open scholarships. -
Coach Amy Williams on Sports Nightly (pre-Rutgers Game)

Unless you bring in a guy or two, might have been hard practicing 5 on 5. 13 players on the roster, including Dillard, Brady, Mendelson (volleyball), Sam (injured early) and Allison (injured now). Izzie was out a bit. I'm sure others have had issues. Bodies would help, even if preferred walk-ons. Are the numbers a result of staff preference? Recruiting? If recruiting, why? Effort? Staff isn't that good at it? Program doesn't have the recruiting support system needed? Budget restraints? Who knows. We sure could use a win tonight. My posts are much too negative as of late. Sorry.
