I thought there was something wrong with Watson saturday, when Miles kept pulling him out for short stretches and then playing him again. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the substitution pattern with him. When we lost Tai for the overtime really hurt us with that big guard, Tai seemed to be the only one that could keep him out of the lane.

After reading the story in the OWH. It got me to thinking (I know Norm I shouldn't do that) but with all the accolades we are giving our freshman haven't we only had Glynn be freshman of the week that one time. I realize some of the other freshman in the conference have better upperclassman around them but if we are going to make some noise in the BIG these guys are going to have to improve dramatically.

Actually in Minnesota and I think the Dakota's you can play varsity sports as a 7th grader. I had a friend who's grandson was wrestling varsity in the 7th grade up there.

As I watched that game last night it was apparent what maryland thought about Benny's shooting ability when they had a power forward guarding him a good share of the night. That should never work for any defense. I also agree with Norm on our spacing on the fast break, not good. On the good side our defense turned them over as much as anybody has. Please coach Miles find us a center!!!!!

Well, if anyone was still wondering if we need a big the Purdue game should have set those thoughts aside. Even if Morrow continues to develop(and I think he will)we still need someone in the middle to have a defensive presence, otherwise we will continue to get owned teams like Purdue with legitimate centers.
