  1. Glad to see Patrick Mahomes have to shut up finally.
  2. That would provide a basis for the juco PG to get his release. Maybe shows up on our sideline during the spring game.
  3. Forgot to mention he's listed at 6'5". If he's truly from Italy, he might commit to us just for our overseas trip.
  4. Indian Hills, Iowa. Possibly from Italy. 1st team NJCAA All-America. Shoots 47% from the field and 47% from beyond the arc as well. Roughly 2:1 Assist:turnover ratio. Lefty. Shoots the ball extremely well.
  5. Congratulations to Grace. Those are awesome.
  6. In the immortal words of Bob Devaney, "I don't want to win enough to be placed on NCAA probation, I just want to win enough to warrant an investigation."
  7. 1. How's he going to fill out his coaching staff? (Is he keeping anyone?) 2. Who all else is going to transfer away (so we know how many spots we'll have to fill)? 3. Which '19 recruits will stay committed? (Only Jervay left to decide.) 4. Who's coming to the spring game for visits? 5. What's Roby gonna do? 6. How many new players will commit this spring who are eligible for next season and who are they going to be? 7. How many sit-a-year transfers will we bring in and who are they going to be? I'd like to know from Hoiberg whether he's planning on filling a roster to try to be competitive this coming season or whether he's more focused on '20-'21. This is one of the things I hate the most about coaching changes: There are sooo many more unknowns in April about what your team will look like in November than you're likely to see at the end of any other season.
  8. You mean they still haven't figured out John Wooden is dead?
  9. I got confused and bought a radar gun. But at least I'll know how fast your shot is.
  10. Ok, but he says they work on shooting technique every day. I know for a fact coaches we’ve had in the past more or less left it up to the players to work on their shots by getting extra reps before or after practice on their own, and didn’t spend time refining technique.
  11. Have you looked at our roster of committed and returning players?
  12. Nobody named Wiznitzer will ever be elected President of the United States. But someone named Wiznitzer might make a pretty decent PF for the Huskers.
  13. So let's just ignore guards until we find a big guy and then, once the big man box is checked off, then and only then, start looking at guards. Right @KearneyMan?
  14. Don't ask me to explain the rule. I know it's a dead period right now. I know that means we can't talk to the guy. Does that just apply to 2019 recruiting class? I have no idea. But if we're offering 2021 kids during a dead period, that must be the deal.
  15. Not sure how much stock I'd put in that denial. Has to get his release #1, and #2, we can't offer during a dead period. So ... Wait till he gets his release and see if he takes a visit to our spring game.
  16. OK, but let's look at this logically. We lost Xavier Johnson because the assistant coach who recruited him left. We granted him a scholarship release even though he signed an LOI with us. And that wasn't for a coaching change but an assistant coaching change. Granted, he didn't follow Kenya to his new school, but it's not unheard of for that kind of thing to change a player's decision. It obviously makes a difference to Cameron Mack that his primary recruiter (who wasn't the head coach) left. But, whereas Xavier didn't follow Kenya to his next stop, why wouldn't Mack if we wanted him? It's possible UConn didn't need/want Xavier. But Mack fits a position of need for us. We can't recruit him during the dead period. That might explain him saying he isn't coming. But if he gets a release and we want him, I don't know that I'd put much weight in anything said to the contrary at this point.
  17. Fingers crossed. Really helps they have that foreign trip available this year.
  18. He's a +++ athlete. Has good court vision, finds guys in the middle of the helter skelter. High flying dunker. Doesn't show him shooting a lot so that must not be a strength.
  19. Where are you seeing this?
  20. This isn't going to go over very well with a certain fanbase.
  21. Which leaves the other two with an average of $310K each. #NotFair
  22. There's a reason they're not committed elsewhere yet.
